Ordered and PM sent. Thanks.

Very interested … Many Thanks.

could I please get a PM?

It looks like the E10R has the same problem charging nimh battery`s according to the review in the link below got 1.39v 50% however he got 4.19v on li-ion which is a full charge.

Does Jetbeam know about this problem, do they have an REP on BLF?

John.

We're back in business.

There has been a change in the management from April onwards. Expected slower than usual response time during transitional period.

Anybody received their`s yet, I want to know it charges nimh fully before i buy a couple, I am not interested in charging or using li-ion battery`s

Thanks

John.

I will check the resting voltage on an Eneloop charged in the E10R once I have it in. I will be pretty disappointed if it indeed only charges to 50% capacity, the whole point of buying the E10R was because of its inbuilt NiMh charge capability.

Well I got 1.38v hot out of the flashlight on my AAA E01R and the guy who reviewed the AA E10R after i asked said he got 1.37v maybe this has been fixed in the latest batches but i don't want to get stuck with a couple of E10R when i am already stuck with an E01R though i am still using it.

This will not be a problem for people who only want to use li-ion cells as it charges them fine to 4.19v according to the review.

John.

Please PM with purchase info.

I did reply my observation on my other thread.

No visible PWM in all modes for Li-ION and Ni-MH.

I did experience the same problem as well. 14500 charging seem fine. Charging process terminate @4.19V. Whereas, AA (Ni-MH) charging ends @1.38V.

Interested.

I also 1.38V. I have meassured with the doctor USB that stop after 725mA in…

I received my lights yesterday, I haven’t unboxed these yet.

The method is to measure the cell voltage after charging to verify full or not?

I do not have the USB amp meter device, just a Harbor Freight DMM

Was the battery empty before you charged it?, On my AAA E01R my usb battery meter mah reading was very close to the discharge capacity on my Maha C9000, So your 725ma on an empty AA 2000mah is not even 50% charged.

John.

On my AAA E01R, I dont have the AA E10R

I discharge the nimh to 0.9v in my maha c9000 then charged the battery in the Jetbeam till the red led turns off, Then i take out the battery and measure the voltage, I get 1.37 or 1.38v then i discharge the battery in my Maha C9000 at 100ma to see the actual capacity the Jetbeam put into the empty battery.

I have done 6 charge discharge cycles and 5 were only 50% capacity, 1 was 75% capacity of the battery capacity on my E01R AAA

So you need to do this on your AA E10R to check out the nimh charging.

John.

The battery was empty before it began to fill.
The method is not precise, the ideal is to measure in discharge. But this gives us a rough idea. Normally, I put in my Fujitsu 1900 mA around 2200mA with this method. And now I only get 725mA, around 1/3 …

I will test with charger this weekend.

With 14500, all my brands protected and unprotected runs fine, not size problems.

AW looks quite short in the pic.
