Can someone please help me understand the difference between the Eagle Eye X5R CREE XPL HI and Eagle Eye X5R Cree XM - L2 in practical terms? I understand that they’re different emitters, but what makes the XPL HI worth a few $ more?

Usually another 100 lumens or so and it’s dedomed so more throw

LiitoKala Lii – 202 USB Battery Charger

no flash sale on it.

Thanks for your effort, just bought it

My headlamp broke the other day. Is there a coupon code for the:
Skilhunt H15 CREE XM L2 U3 500LM LED Headlamp - NEUTRAL WHITE LIGHT?

Thank you!

XM-L2
Max Light Output (lm) 1052 lm
Viewing Angle 125

XP-L HI
Max Light Output (lm) 1095 lm
Viewing Angle 115 °

Eagle Eye X5R XPL HI 1A ($24.99) - 2.3 cent per lumen
Eagle Eye X5R XM-L2 1A ($21.99) - 2.1 cent per lumen

Thank you - sounds like they’re pretty close in performance. I doubt I’d be able to tell the difference with my naked eye

Hold on.

The difference between XP-L HI and XM-L2 is predominantly the absence of a dome in the XP-L HI variant. The “HI” stands for “High Intensity”. This means that the lux value (=throw) is much higher than the non HI variant, including the XM-L2. So the total amount of light (lumens) is about the same, but the hotspot is smaller/tighter and brighter. The link is a comparison between the Thrunite TN4A and Thrunite TN4A HI: the first uses XP-L (HD), and the latter XP-L HI. You get a good impression what the difference is (XP-L HD is about the same as XM-L2)

Hope this helps. Cheers.
