I have bought several lights and batteries from Pro-Tactical Shop and Shane is very cool to deal with he replies to you very quickly or he will call you if needed. You don't get that kind of service just anywhere. He has always beat the prices that you see else where. Also he's coming out with his own Brand of light not sure on all the details yet but I am sure it will be a hit.

I know! Some of the deals are too good to pass up. I finally was able to apply all my coupon codes and Dino Points on one order so it was worth the risk. I paid with Paypal and I will be filing a claim if I don’t have anything in a month or so. Got to give myself some time within the 45 days so might as well open up the case after 30 days if neccessary.

Pricing always wins. We buy too many stuff....

After reading the recommendations here, i placed my first order with shane, even on a sunday, we had exchanged about 10 emails on whether he had the balder se-1 physically in stock, and then he physically verified the led, which i didnt even ask him to do, making sure it was an xml he indeed had, sent me a paypal reciept statement, and after i paid, he sent me a personal email saying the order will ship first thing in the morning, and gave me the same deal the chinese would, Except without the heartache,miscommunication, and month long shipping. Shane, youd better watch out, the chinese might cut you off for following proper business practices. Noone had better attempt to buy the balder se-1s shane has until i verify its content, and place another order for the rest of them.

That sounds like really stellar service, especially since he spent time to answer your emails and hand-checked your light.

Balder SE-1 is a nice light, I remeber last month or so I really looked into getting one and researched it a lot, I dont know why I didnt pull the trigger then? I will put it on my list of lights to get.

Update, light shipped on monday, i got it on wednesday. Its a balder and not a fenix, hehe, good anodizing, but the rest of the light is budget, led not centered, dirty threads, took off head which is a lens, reflector assembly, led and driver attached to main part of the flashlight body, havent seem this setup, since my maglight days, all spill, absolutely no throw, may have to throw an xre in there and put the xml into a sipik.

Well I figured we might as well bring some good with this thread since there seems to be no good coming from Dino Direct. Someone on here every day is probably gotten pissed off with DD service. Maybe if they would take notice from a great seller how they go about conducting business the right way rather than trying to screw people over they could turn their bad reputation around and you wouldn't see all these bad DD threads. They just keep doing business the wrong way. They have no one to blame but themself.

And I'm sure if the administrator here thought any post wasn't appropriate here that we would have either got a pm or the post would have been deleted. So let's leave the administrating to the administrator.

hello,sincerely sorry for some inconvenience on the delay of some orders. but i do hope you guys can understand sometime, since it was the new year time, and the Annual new year time of China soon, so the postal system may be a little slower than usual. We will try to send the items we have in stock out as soon as possible,then we will have much more space to storage other items. But for some products, we need to ask more than one factories to get the product, you know, it is nearly the end of Chinese annual year, many factories have had the holiday.

For the customer service, i beg your pardon, we do have some good customer service online, but sometimes, there are problems with the system, so there might be some problems on connection, you can try more times. And we do have some processes to deal with the orders, if our customer service did not answer you for a long time or resolve your problem timely, you can just send me PM here, i can contact with them to give your order a priority.

And for the flashlight, jeatbeam BC40, please do not worry, i just confirmed with our product center, they just got some pieces from the factory, and we will send them out as soon as possible after our careful test.

You had a great price on the BC40. No one including me is disputing that fact. But what I do dispute is that when a customer places an order and a particular product isn't in inventory on-hand ready to be shipped out that you set your computer system to where it keeps track of your inventory so when that product is no longer in inventory you can let the customer know that it is on backorder and when it is expected to arrive. That's all I ask. That way I or anyone else knows beforehand that there is going to be a longer wait. Now there may be some instances where you have products that sell so fast that they are delivered in say every week. I can see that on items that sell like hotcakes. And occasionally you may run out for a day or maybe 2. But don't make a customer wait 15 days and then tell them there order has finally arrived and it is now shipping after that long of wait with no beforehand details of this to the customer. Again that to me is poor customer service. Now you can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think most customers of yours would agree with me.

Just received my first order from dinodirect so though I'd share my thought (haven't ordered a flashlight in 1.5 years so pardon the excitement). For my first order from dinodirect I've found the experience very positive. I ordered a UltraFire WF504B XM-L and UltraFire UF-H3 headlamp for approx $32 which to me is a very good deal. (thanks to this site for pointing out a $5 off coupon and $3 of dinopoints). After ordering I received a photo of one of the items. I found this a nice touch as I haven't had a similar experience at any other shop than a mail forwarder which required payment for said service. All in all it took only 9 days to receive both lights after clicking checkout. All during the new year period which seems amazing to me. I'll definitely order from them again, up and until (hopefully not) I run into any problems such as those described in this thread.

Will DD customer service will work in the next Chinese Lunar New year holidays? Because most customer services from many other sellers (DX, MF etc) will not work during all the week (from 23th to 29th January, If I am not wrong)

Can you post the dates of when customer service and wharehouse will not be working?

Plus the giftcards I received are not working, one after another (first one didnt work, asked to solve it.. second one is same story.. )My bad! The giftcards are working, it is just not clear that the system is actually approving them... It looks like as if they arent accepted.
I asked Summer to please update the Gift Card procedure....

Summer seems really helpful to me, but dealing with all these little problems is a hassle!

I have had the exact same issues repeatedly from DD for a few years now. Usually something that is out of stock, but they don't tell you that until 2 weeks after you placed the order. (It should be near my mailbox by that point...OK, at least on the boat that is headed this way.) I am used to the long ship times from dealing with DX, but DD tops it off with their "customer service". The only time I will even bother with them is if i happen to see a really good deal on something and I am in no rush or in the god awful pinch of them being the only ones that I can find carrying something

And by "customer service" I mean this typical kneejerk canned response is all that you will get 99% of the time: [quote=Summer]

Have had more than my share of issues with DX as well as some others, but they always bend over backwards to try and make things right. I have never gotten that from DD.

I completely agree with ILIKEFLASHLIGHTS. It is ok if an item is backordered. I am ok to wait for even more than a month if something is not in stock, provided I am told about the status. It pisses me off when I place the order and have to wait a month with abosolutely no information on the availability of the item. If an item is not available for shipment it should be displayed as back-ordered. That is all I am asking for. It would be nice to give people an estimated date of having the item back in stock.

That said, I have placed two more orders with DD in the past week. So far I have received every item in good condition. Nobody can dispute that DD mostly have the best prices. They could do a lot better by sharing some more information with their customers.

I even bought a Klarus P2A a few days before the GB, and it hasnt been shipped yet.. Interesting to have a GB without having it in stock.. hmmm
