@ teacher I was at at a local store and they had Eneloop 8AA & 4AAA 2C&2D & spacer with case & charger (cc17) for $32.99. Batteries was made in japan charger made in china. Do you think it’s worth it? I price it individually and it almost like getting the charger for free.
The only reason I ask about the Nitecore Tip, I was going to get one for somebody as a gift that know nothing about lights.
Someone told me the Uni-t ut61e, I’m not sure if it a good DMM or not or how they compare to the one you listed. What’s your opinion on the ut61e?

I made a little typo I meant to write 8AA & 4AAA (fixed it). It’s called Eneloop Power Pack. Walmart has it and Target has it. You can go online to see if your local store has any.
Thanks for the info Venom.Wal-Mart here doesn’t carry Eneloops anymore & the closest Target is about 40 miles away. But that does sound like a fair price for what you get. :+1:

By the way, some of us use the advanced editor since it's way more powerful. If you see garbled text when doing a quote, it's more than likely because it is in the advanced editor format, so you may switch to it for the stuff to be seen correctly.

I did notice something weird with the text,I didn’t know what/why it was doing it. I did’t realize there was a advanced format.
I didn’t think about WM.COM…… Seems like a pretty decent deal with all the extra’s in it. I use those C & D adapters from time to time…. and you’ll have one of those chargers to so you can get going.
@ teacher, Is the Innova 3320 accurate? Do you have to calibrate it? How do you calibrate a any DMM?
Is the Eneloop kit worth it for the batteries?
I’m going to pick up another charger. A general question on the CC17 charger, Does it detect half drain battery and top them off or is it time charge for certain time period and for half drain battery there is a potential for over charging because of the
Does the C&D adapters take up the space in the flashlight so you can use a smaller battery instead of a larger battery?

- Yep the Innove 3320 seems fairly accurate.
- You have to calibrate it only if it needs it.
- Go HERE and it will give you the basics on calibration. You will need a known voltage source to calibrate it. You can get something like THIS , THIS , or THIS if you require absolute accuracy.
4. As I have said before, the Eneloop kit sounds like a pretty decent deal/price.
5. No the CC17 will not overcharge the batteries. No matter if they are almost full or almost empty when you charge them… it will stop when they are full.
6. Yep, you just slide a AA in the adapter and use it like a C or D size battery

When I get Lii 500, can I do a DMM accurancy test with it and using the Eneloop? Walmart has the Innova 3320 for $18.80, does that sound like a fair price?

@teacher For the usb power adapter ( I guess that what it’s called) which one is good and doesn’t starve devices of power? I read HKJ reviews and alot of them is available in EU and I can’t find them in the USA. When you have a charger and it’s capable of charging at 2 amp, do you need a 2 amp power adapter? My sister has a Apple one for her phone and it says 5v 1 amp, could that starve a charger for running on 2 amps?
Peak input current for a Lii-202 using both channels at 1A was measured at ≈1.9A by HKJ in its review. If the supply can't provide enough current, the charger will just take what is available and charging time will lengthen accordingly.
Nillkin 5V 2A @ GearBest (review: Nillkin AC Adapter 2.0A @ lygte-info.dk). Cheap, proven, superb.
Don't skimp on USB cables and take good care of them. Even some of the branded ones are a joke, with insufficient wire gauge to adequately meet the so claimed 2.4A current rating with ease. Longer cables need adequately bigger power wires gauge (twice the lenght means 3 AWG points less to maintain about equal power wire resistance). Also, twisted and/or bent plugs and your charging speed will plummet because of the much increased contact resistance and voltage drop.

Advantages: rated 3A, so it's quite likely it can do 2A even if a bit overspecced. Integrated cable means no added USB A male plug resistance.
Problems: its wire gauge seems too thin. If AWG24, even at just 3 feet long 316.602mV would drop in such cable when 2A of current flow through it, which is a lot considering we need to further add the drop in the USB micro B plug. If AWG22, it may do… barely. Some devices are picky with the voltage drop at the input and may quickly re-negotiate a lower current rate (slower charging). Potential fix: if AWG24, trim off half of the cable lenght. LoL!

@teacher I went to the walmart website and put the model number in and it says the item is no longer available. Do you know anymore options safety/overload features is a plus? I’m trying to stay away from Ebay sellers. Do you know if cell phone usb will work?
I have not found them on the WalMart web site ever. I just go to the store and get them…. they have them at three I have been to.

Cell phone one will work if it has the rating you need, or like he said will just slow things down if it doesn’t.
I called Walmart, they said they have them in stock. We’ll see when I go over the weekend. What does the usb plug does? My guess is regulate the amount current going to the device not sure if it does anything else. If the plug has to high volts or amps will it harm the device? Example Apple 12w usb plug.
