L T P;s new builds light bar complete @141

It's not the amount of light I'm talking about. I've got a quad xm-l2 setup. My point is just that pattern. Maybe it's just the way the photo came out, but that seems like a really nice beam profile.

Thatā€™s a sweet build. A few others have those triple reflectors on order to see how they compare to tir triples.

I might have to buy the quad version and see about getting my wires out of the way of it. It may just not work out the same with a bigger emitter though.

Of course none of this relates much to the great handiwork on this host.

You have made three nice lights ltp. Iā€™ll have to take them out for a test drive next time Iā€™m up.

Whats next on the agenda? I know Rob wants a bike light.

not a patch on your workmanship. you have set the bar way high mrsdnf.

I have a quad to build and that will be it for a while

but I need to plant some oats first.

Iā€™ve got a c8 in the shed rob can have.

You are far to modest ltp.

Very nice indeed!!! :+1:

So the sickness continues

I was good to catch up for brecky yesterday. Short and sweet.
Dad is still talking about his new custom built light you gifted him yesterday. Cheers.

With those fins you should be able to get rid of a lot of heat ok.

What size thread do you cut lostheplot? I find the bigger the thread the easier it is to cut neatly.

I use 1.25 pitch
Have just bought some hss to grind my own tools as my external tool
(cheap ebay) doesnt have any rake.
I use a carbide tip job from banggood for internal

ok so finally done as had to wait for some 3 mm taps from ebay

battery tube is 5mm thick and 10mm where it bolts to head clamping the driver in position

bezel is bolted with 3mm studs and acorn nuts

pictured with c8 and srk

the shed 60 metres

the quality control comitee at about 50 metres

thanks for lookingā€¦lastly the lexel ta driver runs just over 11amps into the 3 by xpl2 leds
so I guessthats around the 3000 lumen

Maybe you can find the ic on electronic components distributor.

thanks for the tip but it is not wanted

Thats one fine looking light ltp. What reflector and led did you use and was the three mm tap any good you bought of Ebay?

this is the reflector which I trimmed to 50mm dia

slightly bigger than the srk one and a bit deeper

I am actually fairly happy with this light ran for 10 mins on high and still no ware near getting to hot I think the battery will go flat before heat becomes a problem
as it was down to 3.9v after 10 mins
