18650 Zoomie Rechargeable

This is the light I was looking for when I got into lights 6 months ago.

Vansky 900lm rechargeable

18650, Zoom (I know, I’ve been educated but I like the wide flood) USB rechargeable, claimed 900 lumen. To me with an appropriate NW tint would be good EDC (or for me dog walking) light. Oh yeah and under $20 including battery. I have a BLF A6 which I quite enjoy (along with close to a dozen others :person_facepalming: ) but this is getting there to a good, cheap all rounder. Unfortunately know nothing about it’s performance and heat dissipation but interested.

the pictures are fake showing a reflector light stolen from another manufactor

keep away from this one its wasted money
you can get a Eagle Eye X2R with a Samsung or Panasonic lithium battery for the same price

Yeah I’d probably put that money towards a light with known performance. Also, I probably wouldn’t trust the included battery. So you’d have to buy/replace the battery with something better anyway.

Personally I think you get what you pay for. Check out Led Lenser. They have a new 3000 lumen light (MT18) thats being sold now overseas and in America sometime in May 2017.

Also check out Anker LC90 . Mine came with Anker-branded 3350 mAh Panasonic/Sanyo cell. I prefer to charge the battery in my dedicated standalone charger, but the USB charging port is there if ever needed. It goes on sale for about $25 now and then.

I LOVE 3000 lumens. I HATE that price! :open_mouth: I would be afraid to use it. But I won’t order this one I guess, I’ve got better tube lights. Thanks everyone.

PS might look into a Jaxman

That’s the one that started my obsession. Thanks. If it had a neutral tint I’d be really happy. I gave it to my niece who likes to blind her sister (they’re around 10).

Brinyte b158, how about that, maybe not as good as led lenser, but, much much much more cheaper

I’ve looked at that long and hard. I wanted one with an XPL-HI (which they now have) and then just wanted a higher performance driver. I really wish they sold a high performance pill for that one. I bought an Odepro version of the b168 off Amazon which is pretty blue so it might be my first dedome and driver replacement project. DJBurkes built me a hot rod C8 which works well for a pocket shooter (FOR NOW :smiling_imp: )

Anyway I’m fully hooked and need to give away a few of my lights to make room for more. Thanks everybody for their input. I’m currently on the search for a good, bright, general purpose light to recommend to friends like the original post which would include a USB charger so they don’t even have to know about Li-ion. A BLF-A6 or Convoy, NW with built in charger and zoom would be pretty good I think. Basically the above mentioned Anker LC-90 (a little brighter) with neutral tint. Darn good general purpose flashlight.

PS eliminate or at least hide the darn strobe/SOS!!!

Does LC90 take a standard 18650 or is it a special cell ??

Thanks

John.

Maybe you can try this Convoy BD04

Talk to Simon (in AliExpress “Convoy flashlight store”) and he can change the driver (EDIT: and the LED, for a more NW tint), putting the “biscotti” that you can configure!

Hope this helps!

Standard 18650.

So, has anybody here bought this flashlight? Please share experience. Reviews on amazon.co.uk are almost too good to be true: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01M3XZR48?psc=1

I was gonna to order it, but then I ordered instead of this one Convoy S3 (with warm white/yellow led), and one Aukey https://www.amazon.co.uk/AUKEY-Flashlight-Rechargeable-Brightness-Resistant/dp/B06WGWHDLZ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1502474106&sr=8-1&keywords=aukey+flashlight , which I got on Amazon sale for 10 pounds.
I hope I didn’t make a mistake here. Because that zomming function and also USB rechargable was a huge plus. So maybe I am ordering thrid one lol, we will see how happy I will be with S3 and Aukey after I receive them.

Stock light as most budget zoomies will not be better but modded ones will kill any led lenser in performance. If you are not ready to modd buy more quality brand stuff.

The OP wanted something that’s USB rechargeable. B158 does not have this feature.
