Jason had told me when I first ask that they had deactivated ALL codes for everyone , until things were sorted and the “Big Boss” gave him the final word.
I have emailed Jason 3 times about the codes. I have not gotten a response from the last 2 at all , so I am thinking they are not going to reactivate the codes that were active for anyone before the restructure. Jason has always been very good in the past about answering emails fairly promptly until this whole thing , so I am taking it after all this time the codes are just gone for good.
They restructured to more of a “bulk pricing” and the way it seems to be set up now is the more you buy the larger the discount.
Still some good prices on some of their stuff in comparison with others though , so it is still worth a look for me when I need cells or a charger or anything of that nature , especially with them being one of the very FEW dealers based in the USA.
Yeah, that’s fine if you want to stock up on an 8-pack or so, but it bites ya if you only need 1-2 of a kind.
“Bulk pricing”, “quantity discount”, etc., sounds good, ’til you flip it around and see you’re being “punished” for only needing 1-2 of each, even if you want quite a few [different] items.
I wanted to use the code but apparently is not working anymore, I want to buy a charger from them and the code would certainly make the price very competitive…
If we can’t get the code could we at least get a code.
I have made a few purchases recently and there was no discount for buying in quantity. If I had a code I would probably up my order total and use them more often. I can purchase from other US based stores and get a discount when I purchase more batteries.
Anyone got any reccomendations for another site with great 18650 protected cells? That’s a real shame on the code. Going to try gearbest, banggood, or dealextreme
IMRBatteries is a great place to buy batteries in the states .
we are just BUDGETlightforums and are cheap enough to complain over losing such a small discount .
The Chinese sites you mentioned (except deal extreme)are cheaper if you’re willing to wait . IMRbatteries is a really nice source to have .
Well, the 15% code did not work for me either, however they were the only place that had the Sony VTC5a’s in stock, hopefully, the fact that they have stock when other places don’t is just how things worked out, and not an indication that there should be any problems w/those batteries.
