7000 Post Giveaway - ImA4Wheelr (w/RMM Sponsoring) - Winner is Boaz

Here’s a through-PCB spring bypass direct-to-the-switch-leg I just did for a BLF A6:

Thanks for the bump DavidEF.

I don't know when the final time zone is, but I'm guessing it will be sometime in the middle of the night. I have a presentation with my boss tomorrow at 10:30ET. I'll shoot for doing the drawing during my lunch break.

Thanks to those that entered and to any that may enter before the final time of 4/20 (lol, just realized the implication of that). :)

Here is a some what simple old school mod I performed years ago.

Thanks for the give away

One of my recent mods. Swapped the old XP-E in my Surefire G2X with an XP-G3 R5 3000K 80+ CRI emitter. Fairly easy swap but one of my favorite results, fair increase in brightness and efficiency, and MUCH better emitter color. Its a pleasure to use now.

Hardest part was removing the lens and getting the MCPCB out. The MCPCB was glued in and uses pins to connect to the driver. Had to heat the whole head to get it out. 3D printed my own tool for the lens.

Congrats on the milestone ImA4Wheelr.
My first mod was helped along by a few early members that are no longer on the forum. Foy’s reviews were the best around at the time and helped inspire the best light I owned which I no longer have. The JM05.

Now why ImA4Wheelr? Do you like four wheelin?

My mod : What did you mod today? - #1371 by giorgoskok

Thanks for the chance , i appreciate it . Good luck to everyone .

I’ll post one for SB.

And one for me. Build thread 16650 SK 68.

I think this is the only mod that I’ve shared with the forum? It takes me so long to do this stuff and it’s difficult to document what I’m doing. I envy those that can mod and post a professional write up without missing a step:) For some builds I have even documented and started to write up a thread but I was never happy with the out come. anyway, I am going to start a thread for this one soon. I should just start it and finish as I go, maybe?

I got one for sb. Post 6. Love the light RBD. :+1:

Jensen567, Google used to make it easy, now they make it near impossible to imbed photos on sites like BLF. There may be an easier way than what I do but it works for me. I have all my photos uploaded to Google Photos to begin with. Then, I look up each one and share each individually to Google. It needs to be shared individually for my method to work. The next thing is to go into my Google page and find that photo share, and right-click on it, to get Properties, and copy the location from there. Last is to use the Insert Image icon here at BLF, paste in the location where it says “Image Url”, and hit OK.

Don’t forget the size% option

Thanks for the tip, will check it out when I get home from work. Was posting that last one from the phone and was having enough trouble just fitting everything on the screen. I do remember it being easier before. Might have to just start using imgur for hosting.

I really ought to do some more write ups on my mods too, I’ve probably done emitter swaps or full builds on 10 lights this week. Upgrading most of my fleet to the new generation emitters (XPL2, XPG3, XHP*0.2, 219C, 319A, etc)

OK. Looks like the last entry post is 81 and the OP is number 1. Going over to Random.org to get a number. I'll video record with with my cell.

45 is the number. let me verify it is qualified.

Appears to qualify. Boaz, our keeper of humor, is the winner. Congrats man. I'll tell RMM you're the winner and you two can work out how to make the purchase.

Thanks again everyone!

Congrats Boaz!

Thanks ImA4Wheelr and congrats to Boaz. Have fun in Richards shop.

Congratulations Boaz
