JETBeam E10R estimated values of lumens.

… And we still don’t know whether that dang dress was white and gold or blue and black… Aaaargh!

For one thing fella…you need to lose your attitude…I did say it looked greenish to me with my glasses on. Apparently I need them to see correctly or I wouldn’t have them…right? Think about that! When I said that we all should know that we see tints differently…I was referring to flashlight fanatics liking different tints…I was in no way implying that it’s not green…I was merely stating how it looked with my glasses on and off. This thread is a flashlight review and I could tell people were taking pop shots at each other so I just stated what I saw to change the mood. However, you seem to be the aggressor here since you want to try to cause an issue over a comment that had absolutely nothing to do with you.

So, i received my light today
To my eyes, there is no green tint(or very small. I can’t recognize it)
The light is quite long
Quite disappointed in the switch, not as comfortable as utorch ut01

Retina or not tint is greenish. My screen was calibrated 2 days ago with I1profiler  No doubts about screen accuracy.
Mike

As long as it was not an Pantone Huey Pro as it had a tendency to make the screen slightly green :)

John.

I just found new problem
When using ni-mh, there is buzzing sound at high mode
It is vesy easy to notice
Does anyone have same issue like me?

My copy suffered the same issue. It sounded like someone winding a "cassette tape". If you are buying for the sake of Ni-MH, my advise is to pick another model. Light is perfectly fine for 14500 usage.

Nah, I have I1 PRO 2
Mike

now i am buying light for collecting :D. i EDC 4 lights :person_facepalming: , and i dont think i should carry more everyday
i already have some lights that use both 14500 and ni-mh, i bought this light because it’s the only that can charge ni-mh and li-ion

The camera used and it’s settings have as much, if not more, to do with the “apparent” transmitted tint than the monitor that renders the image to us.

That being said I own this flashlight and according to my 56.04 Human retina, it has a small amount of green tint but no where near Zebralight Puke Green.
My beefs with this Jetbeam are too wide of mode space between mid and high with the 14500, too small of a button and the whacky UI
On my copy, it does not want to turn on after inserting the 14500 until double tapped into strobe and then back out.

If you hold down the power switch for like 5 seconds it will go into a beacon as long as you continue to press. Then when released it is locked up mainly.
Only saw one review on this light and they did not cover this beacon deal.

If anyone can point us to the actual factory directions of the UI that would be great. All that is on most vendors sites are the cut and paste specs from Jetbeam.
Is it a decent flashlight, maybe.
But would I buy it again? No.

The new Thorfire TS06 smokes this thing in output, but they are different lights, horses for courses and all that.
Later,
Keith

After nearly 12 hours play with it
There are something need to be done
A bigger and softer button(like the one in utorch ut01)
Better ni-mh charging(the advantage of this light, compare with other 14500 light)
Better clip(i feel uncomfortable when holding it
More solid host

There is a gap between head and body, and this gap is not for the clip
(I reverse the clip into this gap, and the light didnt work)

I only have the E01R AAA version, But i prefer the metal buttons, I have lot a few good lights when the rubber on the button failed and i could not get a replacement.

It`s the UI interface i don't like (10 min mode memory), I prefer the one on the UltraTac K18 low, mid, high (permanent last level memory), press to turn on, click to go next level, double click for strobe, long click to turn off, hold power button down for 2 seconds to lock or unlock.

No green in the E01R AAA version Emitter, it`s actually quite warm and i like it.

John.

My two samples have not buzzing sound. (I use my units without the magnet)
Is very strange, only sound with NiMH and not with 14500?

Probably the boost induction coil vibrating, a little potting might fix it.

Yup, only with ni-mh( i assume the coil of boost circuit has a problem)
And strange that when the light gets hot, the buzzing disappear

My monitor is energy star compliant, so everything it displays is techincally “green”. :stuck_out_tongue:

I might like the small stiff button—Would anyone care to offer their opinion about the likelihood of accidental activation?
If it would be LESS prone than other side switch lights—that works for me.

My former Fenix LD12’s had the most greenish tints ever. Trevi’s Jetbeam flashlight beam is not even close in comparison.
