Their LiveChat is a real pain! Continually disconnected..

Plus the giftcards I received are not working, one after another (first one didnt work, asked to solve it.. second one is same story.. )My bad! The giftcards are working, it is just not clear that the system is actually approving them... It looks like as if they arent accepted.
I asked Summer to please update the Gift Card procedure....

Summer seems really helpful to me, but dealing with all these little problems is a hassle!

I have had the exact same issues repeatedly from DD for a few years now. Usually something that is out of stock, but they don't tell you that until 2 weeks after you placed the order. (It should be near my mailbox by that point...OK, at least on the boat that is headed this way.) I am used to the long ship times from dealing with DX, but DD tops it off with their "customer service". The only time I will even bother with them is if i happen to see a really good deal on something and I am in no rush or in the god awful pinch of them being the only ones that I can find carrying something

And by "customer service" I mean this typical kneejerk canned response is all that you will get 99% of the time: [quote=Summer]

Have had more than my share of issues with DX as well as some others, but they always bend over backwards to try and make things right. I have never gotten that from DD.

I completely agree with ILIKEFLASHLIGHTS. It is ok if an item is backordered. I am ok to wait for even more than a month if something is not in stock, provided I am told about the status. It pisses me off when I place the order and have to wait a month with abosolutely no information on the availability of the item. If an item is not available for shipment it should be displayed as back-ordered. That is all I am asking for. It would be nice to give people an estimated date of having the item back in stock.

That said, I have placed two more orders with DD in the past week. So far I have received every item in good condition. Nobody can dispute that DD mostly have the best prices. They could do a lot better by sharing some more information with their customers.

I even bought a Klarus P2A a few days before the GB, and it hasnt been shipped yet.. Interesting to have a GB without having it in stock.. hmmm

I made 2 orders yesterday about $50 each.

My 2nd order with 4 items is marked as sent but they only showed 1 item in the basket worth about $10.

My first order I didn't get a conformation email for like I did for the 2nd other, I used live chat to ask them why not and they said its sent, then 10 seconds later they said its all in stock, then they will ship it in 3 days. Along with lots of "don;t worry" and "be patient"

I'm wasn't trying to rush them or anything, I just want to know what's going on and why they can't tell me anything about my orders.

Ordered The klaRus p1a last week, and havent even bothered to check, giving them the 30 days, hope i dont forget about the klarus, have made several orders on lights these last few weeks from different sites, dx delivered my order in about 15 days i counted weekends too, non back ordered items. Im going to see if focal price can beat that time, they can if they get my order to me by the end of the week, big purchase too, i ordered six lights at once from them along with batteries, im rooting them on, now my p1a from dino, i do not expect that to come in for at least a month, may never come if they are sold out, yikes!!! AND like ive said, made an order for a balder se1 from shane yesterday, and its already on its way from floridA to california, says itll be here on the 12th, typical of an american seller to get it done.

Today I got this image of my order ready to be shipped (ordered @ Dec, 25). Inside the basket you can see the Jetbeam BC20 and Nitecore IFE2 (invisible version ). Now, if everything arrives as ordered (and the Nitecore reveal itself in the package), it is not a bad shopping experience and the price was very good ($99.07 for both after coupons) so I will be happy. Let's wait and see.

Support-wise, it looks like Summer want me to be happy with DD. He responds to my PMs quickly and follows up my order informing me about its progress. He is friendly and makes me feel he will be there for me if a problem arise. Summer, thank you!

I received my Klarus XT20 today from DD, ordered 18/12/11 with Fedex.

I asked Summer to look into it it 10 days after ordering as it had not been despatched - it was sent the next day, sent EMS instead of Fedex.

I've had stuff arrive faster with the free postage.

Superb flashlight though.

Just so you know Summer is a female.

And Summer and I had a nice long talk about all this that I mentioned here. And she told me that she is going to look into the future of making sure that people are told if a product isn't in inventory before they place their order. That way they have the option to buy or not to. It's the customers call. And that is all you can ask any company to do.

My BC40 has now been officially shipped. I got my picture email today. So I hope all is good now.

And again I hope DD can turn their reputation around here to where we no longer see threads like this. Any company that wants to be a good one needs great customer support and great customer satisfaction just like Cabelas has here in the USA. Afterall, the customer is what keeps the doors opened.

After a good long talk with Summer, I decided to order this Sunwayman V60C. I got a steal of a price for $98.50. I hope they have them in current inventory and it gets here fairly quick. Please Summer make sure I get a working light that is perfect in function and finish. That's all I ask.

Just an update, I received partial shipment of my order on 10th January. I have only received (via EMS) one out of the three items that I ordered, one supposedly on the way via regular mail, one out of stock and got a refund with gift card.

So far, my experience has be neutral. Will have to wait for the second item to arrive before commenting further.

That chat I would have to say was useless and they were just saying whatever you wanted to hear like they say to everyone else.

Its still shit service, I cant get a straight answer out of them.

First they said both my orders were shipped, then only 1 was, then only 1 item out of 12 was sent, then saying everything is in stock.

Why send 1 out of 12 items if its all in stock? It would save them a lot of postage.

Why tell me both orders are shipped when they arent, then change it to saying only 1 order is shipped, then later saying only 1 item out of 1 order is shipped?

They have good prices, too bad they lie and have no idea how to look after customers.

I wont say that I'll never buy from them again but I will definitely look elsewhere first.

They have two. Regular and VIP-only. The latter is supposed to be given priority, but as far as I can tell that's the only difference.
