Q8, PMS SEND TO THOSE WITH ISSUES BLF soda can light

Do you recall the “noob mode” results for the BLF-A6?

It’s almost like the UI was specifically engineered to make first-time users blind themselves.
What kind of idiot designed that thing, anyway?

The answer to that, TK, is obvious…… a Highly Intelligent Beauty designed that A6/Bistro/Biscotti firmware to do a sophisticated job beyond the mere mortal.

Edit: Might I add that it is highly entertaining to watch, handing one of these off to a noob?

Fixed it for ya!

Wait a minute, Prototype #4 is done The Miller?

I bolded the interesting parts.

I’ve been patiently waiting, and waiting, and waiting. But I couldn’t take it anymore. (No offense meant to Team Q8.)

These arrived this week. I know there may be a special deal later… but I wanted one matched set, in hand, for when the Q8 arrives.

Sanyo GA 3500mAh 10A Button Top

I’ve also ordered VTC6’s from (naaah i won’t you tell this naughty website!)

Can’t wait

Well Barry showed pics with some parts and a wall beamshot so we could see the nice NW tint.
I don’t know if the samples are ready (if all is well these would be samples and as production Q8 flashlights hence no prototypes YAY)

This was a very exciting weekend.
J-Dub74 receiving a close to specced Q8 proto and Barry visiting the factory.
Hope to know more tomorrow!

From where!?

It looks like VTC6 will be one the best cells for the Q8, ya?

Hope J-Dub do some video fondling that thing, i got a soft sport for moving pictures.

Meanwhile i am contemplating on how to muck up a flashlight camera for as little money as possible, im thinking one of the little Mobius action cameras retrofitted with a more narrow lens.

I could use my IMX 185 camera, but that’s so light sensitive a single candle light is fine for it, so i figure the less light sensitive Aptina sensor of the Mobius 1 will be fine, at least for any decent sized flashlight.

This is a old flashlight video where i am using the old Innovv C1 camera that’s much like the mobius cameras at least in size, but as i recall it also use the same sensor.
O and the light is from a cheap HID flashlight.

Hey folks.

I have the BLF A6 and would love to add the Q8 to sit next to it. If it’s still possible to be added to the list I would appreciate it.

Thanks, t3rminal.

I hope you have better luck with your Mobius than I had with my brand new Mobius 2. I just returned it because it wouldn’t retain the memory card. I’m waiting for Mobius to be readied for prime time. Maybe someone will come out with something better in the meantime.

Nkon HAD them.
I did post here when they had them… sold out now.

I have the Mobius 2 & 1 and yeah it sure do need some more firmware work, and it appear some Mobius 2 are better than others with the new firmwares.
Quite a few of us on the dashcam forum have the Mobius 2 and test on it, and a few of us seem to get worse low light performance as the firmwares have progressed.

Tho old Mobius 1 are a much safer bet, and right now it even perform better then the 2, but the 2 have a chance of outgunning it, just hope that don’t take 2 years of development in firmware, its soon a year old, and i fear the new way of doing DIY in linux might be a bad idea as opposed to use Ambrella or Novatek SDKs.

A lot go on in the camera world too, even with little non gopro shaped cameras.

I get some ( 4 ) HG2’s tomorrow, but they will probably see action in my P 36 first.

Nice video sparkyDK! Was the knife a Puma-SGB-Wildcat??

Awww… You say the nicest things!

Not so fast, pal.
I see what you did there.

Flattery will get you nowhere.

No it is the smaller white hunter.

I also call it my deluxe butter knife as it due to its shape are really good for spreading butter on our bread when we are out camping.

It also come in a larger model i think.

Also i have a large Puma Bowie.

Thats for my ” that’s not a knife, this is a knife” situations.

BTW did you know the english work knife actually come from the Danish / old norse word for knife ( kniv or knifr as we said back then in the good old days )

Needless to say all my knifes are illegal as i don’t have a permit :open_mouth: We Danes traded in our spine and blood-thirst many decades ago.
Not even legal to EDC a small pocket knife here, the individual safty are “taken care off” by the gooberment and your only legal defense are a phone call to understaffed police.
Now we just a shadow of what we once was :frowning:

Sorry, it’s been an odd day.

Did I hear someone say… production samples?

They seem to be having some issues finding a carrier to deliver to the dark side of the moon… I tried to make the argument that if they could just GET IT THERE you’d light their way home. :stuck_out_tongue:
