TEXAS LUMENS Website and Store

TexasLumens are you going to try to stick to specific thread sizes for the most mixing and matching options?

Order placed. Glad to support a quality American business.

TL Congrats sir. :+1: I will be ordering a few things in the future. I have a few other projects to complete first. lol Good luck brother!

Maybe y’all can clear me up on something.

I haven’t been a P60 fan for quite a while now. But you know, I just HAD to have a full Cu TL flashlight, right? So, if I’m thinking of building a copper head to screw onto the bezel threads and house a larger reflector with a copper driver bay extension fitted into the P60 area of the TL battery tube, is that wrong?

Might not even be able to do that, with what’s on my plate, but my thoughts want to make it bigger, badder, meaner.

Hi TL,

Congratulations on launch of your new website. GLWS.

Wonderful creations, thanks for offering these and keeping them relatively within reach. :+1:

When you guys receive your P60…hosts,lights,pieces,or whatever…post some pics.

I must really be getting old. I remember when “post some pics” would have meant sending pictures via USPS. :person_facepalming:

I called my 9 yr old by my 30 yr old’s name this evening. UGH!

Will do, if I can remember how to work the Brownie…

Dale sounds a bit like this Review: SolarForce M3 with L2T body They built M3 and K3 heads.

Thanks shooter, been there done that many years ago. What I was thinking was to carve my own larger head out of a bar of Tellurium Copper to go with the Tellurium Copper light that Dan makes. I’d utilize the entire light, save for the bezel. This would allow the maximum thermal properties which is, of course, where the M3 and K3 fail.

Edit: Texas Shooter, thank you! I got to looking at my old Solarforce lights (my M3 had a cell in it down to virtually zero, it’s charged to 32% and climbing now, whew!) and I inadvertently made a discovery! I have a gold L2P with one of MattAus’s silver plated copper pills in it, loaded with 3 Nichia 219B High CRI emitters and driven by Matt’s Hyperion firmware that he developed in conjunction with Dr. Jones. So I’ll use Matt’s pill in Dan’s light and have a 3 way BLF collaboration in this solid copper light! Woo Hoo!
A Texas Lumens, MattAus, Dr. Jones beauty!

(That’s North Texas to Australia to Germany, how can it get better than that?)

All it needs is a Tofty.

Have one, not needed here at some 4.5A. But yeah, neat to compile the multiple BLF authors isn’t it?

Nice job on the website! Your work looks fantastic. :+1:

I assumed by adding the bigger copper head you would be pumping more amps through it.

Well, yeah, if and when… At the moment I’m facing surgery on my neck so I don’t foresee machining an intricate large copper head anytime soon. So for now, I’ll put the MattAus silver plated copper triple 219B in it and enjoy.

That doesn’t sound good Dale. Take care mate.

Nuttin’ but a thang, been a pita to not be up to snuff for modding lights though. Got withdrawals. lol

As long as it’s not neck surgery in the French mode. please let us know when you’re unable to play :confounded: , we’ll all do lots of mods so you get jealous :weary: and want to recover fast. :+1:

Still haven’t decided which head and tail to get, the parts in between I hope will take care of themselves. I also have one of Matt’s shells along with a Pilotptk 3xXML PCB and a DrJones or 3. Between Uncle Sam and an 18 year old truck my finances have seen better days so I’ll probably be part of the second or third waves.

Just received my P-60 body. It is gorgeous. This thing is also a beast. Only regret is ordering before the triple drop-in was available.

My copper host is on the mail truck, silver plated copper triple drop-in standing by waiting for it to arrive.
