Yes, you can solder blob if you want. Button tops are nice so you don’t have to do that, and you can get a new matched set, for cheaper than new set of flat tops.
Put me down for 12 30Q BT's please. I've emailed a lot with Jon - great guy, real good US pricing for the most part.
I think I was the one who introduced him to BLF. Please gently bug him bout stock on the protected GA's, also his price on the VTC6's is a bit high at $8.09, but not seeing them much cheaper around in the US (MtnE at $8.29, IMRBatteries at $8).
He does have protected MJ1's though in stock. Weird the protected ones are cheaper than the button top ones.
Sometimes he runs sales. He does use nice Seiko protection circuits. I’ve bought several of his protected GA’s for Fenix camp lanterns. My kids have their own tent, and always fall asleep with the light on… lol
His protected circuits are the best I've seen or heard of -- incredible really. In tests in the Q8 protos, virtually no loss of amps. I like the high amp trip points are above the rated amps of the cells too -- 10A rated, trip is 11A-12A.
