A RCR123 high capacity battery from Fenix with protection at the plus pole.

The cell can deliver about 2A before it starts to loos capacity, this matches fine with a 1.4A rating.

Conclusion

For high capacity 16340 batteries these looks good and they are very short for protected batteries.

It seems like the plus pole is the better place to put the protection circuit. I think this is the first time I’ve seen it, though. Are there many other cells that have the PCB on the plus end?

Thanks for the review HKJ!

I think my Soshine 18650 have protection at the + pole…either them or my E’tac!! I have to look! Maybe both!

EDIT: Soshine only.

Not many, but there are a few.

I have Soshine 18650’s. They do have the protection circuit board on the plus end

^ Agreed and confirmed!

Thanks for the review and testing, HKJ!
