FandyFire 14500 Discharge @ 500mAh

Wow , DX had a sale , and I thought OK , lets waste some money [ hint hint ] , and buy some real crap batteries and see just how much there on the nose !

I charged up the cells , and then discharged at 500mAh , now the label clearly states 1200mAh for the capacity [ yeah , thats a long shot ]

Cell 1 / 384mAh @ 500mAh discharge rate to 2.99v

Cell 2 / 305mAh @ 500mAh discharge rate to 2.99v

I just dont know what to say , so many new "CRAP" batteries coming onto the market , I wish DX would VET the rubbish from the goods it stocks ..

So much effort put into making a turd look nice [ well wrapped ] .

If I sound a little miffed , then your getting the jest of my rant .

If on-line dealers want to upset customers , stock rubbish , push crap on unsuspecting people [ noobs ] , as well as damage there own reputations , then stocking the fandyfire 14500 is the thing to do ...

Bottom line , these batteries are Rubbish in the best tradition , congratulations Fandyfire for putting your name to such junk , making outlandish capacity claims , and monumentally failing to deliver a even half decent battery ... [ my humble opinion ]

So who ever is responsible for these batteries , you deserve bad fortune , and a miserable new year in the finest Chinese tradition .

Happy New year everyone ...

yours have significantly higher capacity than the 4 I bought and others reported on DX.

although, 25% more than ~225mah (avg.) is still crap.

it was worth a try. I paid $7 for four, opened paypal case, got immediate denial of refund notice, was asked to post a video as proof, asked them to post a video as proof they had even one that worked at 1/2 claimed capacity, received refund w/o further communication.

fyi, you're not supposed to open paypal case w/o talking w/ seller first. I don't care, I figured if everybody did that to them they're less likely to sell stuff they know is total CRAP.

btw, I cut the protection off of two and rewrapped - they were total junk, now they're 225mah junk.

I was 99% sure the batteries were crap : So knowing I was buying crap = No refund ...

I dont want a refund , but at the same time , its worth the price to get the word out ...

Must post on Dx as well ...

Dozens of orders from DX, I've never asked before...

I did because I'd like to motivate them to stop selling them, not because the $7 is all that important. Lower quality is one thing, but these are junk. It is a waste of a natural resource...they'll all get thrown out or recycled...

Yeah....TF Flames are about 750mAh plus range i think, and i tested at 1A if i remember correctly so that's > 1C. The bestinone IMRs are 630mAh.

I wish somebody would make some HIGH quality ones. I'd pay $10 ea for 1000mah at 3A
