OK OK
There are some real challenging things in the light, adding production steps and complexity on things like engraving inner tube does not seem smart.
Got a bit carried away
If it means more work and time and possible miscommunication to get this light laser-ized, I say “less is more.” More lights in my hot little hand! No need for engraving in my point of view.
I’m interested! Please put me on the list ! :person_facepalming:
Q8, BLF GT, and now the FW3A. I hope it will be few month between the release date of these lights because my girlfriend gonna kill me
A beautiful woman should not wear too much jewelry (she is not a christmas tree).
A beautiful car should have next to zero stickers on the boot (no DOHC-32V, gran turismo, limited edition)
This is a (very) beautiful light: keep it as clean as possible. Max.= TLF/BLF-special
I really like the picture with the light in the hand, in fact it is the picture that shows best how it is going to look like. I like the smooth finish too!
(for me a rough machine finish sounds not overly attractive, I like well finished flashlights with a good ano-layer. the best finish I have seen sofar is my Shadow TC300, in matt dark-brown ano.)
Off of a lathe, you can get a variety of surface finishes. If your cutter is sharp and is fed into the material at the right rate, you can achieve a very nice and lightly textured look and feel. If you want something different, you can hit it with different grits of sandpaper to achieve a matte, satin or even mirror-polished look. I suppose the final surface will depend on the agreed-upon treatment after it is machined to shape.
I kinda like the shinier look as opposed to the satin look in the last picture but that’s just me.
