He did, with TK helped with the first parts list for the driver though, pretty awesome in my book when little me asked these two heavy hitters and they answered and gave input.

The labelling isnāt as clear on the new version, cheapens the look. Having said that, its not a deal breaker.
EDIT Shouldnāt have viewed on a 4 inch screen. On a 26ā now and I agree version 3 is better.

regarding the BLF Firmwares running out of space and IOs, what bigger MCU could be the next step? And can old code be used?
Lamps getting more and more nice / complex. I see multicoloured lights, some with displays, more or RGB status LEDs.
Canāt the AT84 and little more expensive and newer AT841 be seen ad future MCUs, more pins, more channels anx better power usage for the 841 if I understand Mike C correctly.

The āgroupingā is obviously much tighter with the Q8 than the Securitying. Did they thicken the shelf or did the team decide it was ok with the shelf thickness from Proto 2?
The shelf, we (well I) said it was OK for a thicker copper slab would add depth and it already worked great with a thinner smaller OD ledboard
Yes, I do believe the hot spot in the pics is bout accurate to what I'm seeing. It doesn't mean though the 4X SRK clone throws much better. Found in my notes back on July 5th when I did the full mod to that light I measured 52 kcd, but that was at 5,450 measured lumens @30 secs and ~16.0A tail (clamp meter). I never could get as much amps out of that light as I could with the Q8 prototypes.

I found a serious bug in the Narsil firmware

Did you PM Tom about it?
Curious! There seems not much time for a Narsil update before the Q8 goes into production, but if the bug is serious, we will have to change it.
I confirmed this bug on v1.2 and 1.4 and are pretty sure its present on Q8 as well, as it is there really a long time
