Help us to improve Armytek tactical flashlights (Predator, Dobermann, Viking, Partner)!

The armytek flashlight is the greatest looking premium flashlight manufactured in China, thanks great job!!!

I just bought your Viking Pro (XHP-50, cool white). I love it! It has become my go-to light!

I can’t really think of any improvements beyond making your lights with tail caps that allow tail-standing ability. And perhaps make a 26650 thrower of some kind.

Where have you been all my life, Armytek??!! lol

I’d like to see a tactical light going with 20700 / 21700 to have same capacity of a 26650 but more slimmer. No one has in catalogue.

I have three Partners: 2 AA and 1 CR123 all are great lights.

The output on High and Low are way too close together. The rubber boots are a badly worn and they did not come with extras. You should sell/give extras .

Thanks for asking.

Predator and Doberman.
I would like a good clip….
I would like that the first batch have tha same Inteface than the published for the rest of the production….

about Prime PRO:
I would like that you test the Thermal gestion of the lights before sell the items…

Regards

Full regulation and less cheap looking prints would be fine. Vide Predator 2.5 PRO.
Now your lights look like trash 5$ bazaar toys.
Mike

I have the Predator Pro v3 CW. I happen to like it a lot.

ArmyTek,

I searched everywhere for reviews in English. What I found was very limited. Most reviews are in a foreign language. This does most in the U.S. no good at all for gaining any comfort to spending what you are wanting for your products. Share your products with those that want to review them honestly and unbiased. Accept and learn. Adapt and overcome.

Sorry. I was on a roll....

When are the new products we were shown at Shot Show going to be released? We want to be amazed!!

Tail standing is a nice addition. +1

A stronger clip would be nice as well.

Maybe an 18650 extension tube for longer run times?

I would like to see the Viking and Predator models with the head/reflector increased to 2" circumference to achieve longer throw.

Aside from what I mention here, I would change nothing else. Plus the standing tailcap ;)

Agree with sp5it, avoid the cheap looking prints and do something more discrete maybe engraved.

Make your lights upgradable, new LED chip comes out, being able to swap it would give your lights longer life and more capabilities.
Also making lights repairable increases their utility

I would like to see some body tubes to take the 20700 batteries. With sleeves 18650’s could still be used but right now only high quality 20700 are being manufactured. I understand every one wants the 25.4mm body tube for the less than 1% who might mount the light. However 30mm mounts are also very popular. I own three of your lights; Doberman, Viking and the Predator. More HD XHP35 and XHP50’s I get plenty of range I need more spill and flood to see everything. I work nights a lot and like lighting up entire parking lots, alley and streets when needed. Panasonic NCR20700B gives 24% more power than the very best 18650’s out there and still runs at 10-15 amps without issue. Keep the locked head on/off only and the loose head for modes. It makes it very work and play friendly.

The engravings are over kill. Leave them natural/subdued to the color of the anodize.

A sales/service center in the US would be nice. It’s the only reason I won’t buy one of your lights, the negative reviews I hear and read about dealing with CS in Canada. Unanswered phone calls, unanswered emails, slow return service, expensive shipping, etc…

I just had a recent Fenix light fail. Emailed Fenix in Arkansas, and they gave me an RA# within a few hours. Good service.

1. Make sure to include the correct operating instructions for the flashlight…. especially if the UI changes between versions of the light.
2. Get rid of blinking buttons while the light is in operation.

I don’t know if it’s a new feature but at least in the recent lights you can disable the switch blinking for the firefly modes by keeping the switch pressed and opening and closing the tailcap and releasing.

edit: correction: open the tailcap a quarter turn, hold switch, close tailcap, open tailcap, release switch

Also in wizard? I’m afraid of enter in a strange mode and be not able to come back…

See my post above, that is from the Wizard Pro manual. Don’t know about Wizard.

Works on at least the Prime C2 Pro.

To enter tactical mode

All of your products are already very good for daily/camping/hiking/hunting/tacticool uses (CMIIW because I never really see true military uses of AT). I love the styling, anodizing toughness, and finish. The performance also very good although the efficiency in higher modes somewhat below ZL and Fenix.
but….ONLY WHEN IT’S WORKING.

I bought 12 Armyteks (Wizards Pro, Prime Pro, and Predator Pro) back in 2015 direct from your sales officer, got 5 returned back from the customers because of driver problems. I still have all of those defective Wizards, and still hesitates to return it to you just to get another troublesome replacement.

My suggestions:

- Don’t push it too hard, most of your driver problems happened after prolonged turbo runs. Or if you want to keep the blinding turbo modes, please improve the driver (better eff., less heat, more resilient) and also a sensible lower thermal safety switch down. Any newbies will always use the turbo modes insensible until later they only get firefly mode due to burnt driver.

- Get rid of those disco mode for non tactical torches (wizard, prime, barracuda, tiara). Slow high/low beacon is far more useful.

- Better screw on clips is a plus, although this is subjective.

- Include a manual

  • I’m pretty sure as soon as AT make more moddable torches, there will be substantial number of new fans from BLF, TLF, CPF, etc…Non potted premium torches always get more attention. Even simple LED swap is very hard on AT.

BTW, kudos to your new catalogue. It’s very intuitive and make choosing easier for most newbies. I got one from your staff earlier.

- Clemence

I just received my c2 pro xhp 35.
I can’t get the beacon light to work in the off state. What am I doing wrong? Shoukd I hold the rear or front button down after I unscrew the tail
