I, uh, well, just couldnât wait. Mine will be here Monday.
Sorry Martin. I have this little flashlight problemâŠ
Haha
where did you order?
i hope you at least used a general code or something else to save a bit?
Interested depending on price.
I discovered a new site called flashlitZ, theyâre in Tulsa Oklahoma which isnât all that far from me (all things considered) They were offering a 10% off discount on a first purchase from the store so I used that and the introductory pre-order price. I was impatient, as I have about 20 days before I have surgery and after that Iâll be out for probably 2 months. My G35 is in Austin, about 60 miles South of me and the hub that will send it to my home town. So it will definitely be out for delivery Monday morning.
great!
i hope you can share your valued opinion with us
I aim to do as much of a review as I can accomplish, under the circumstances. If itâs not glued Iâll disassemble it and get pics. If itâs glued, I donât know that Iâll be able to defeat that in my present condition.
Interested! Thanks
I received e-mail notification that my G35 is out for delivery, so another couple of hours should have it in my eager little hands!
Will post about some initial findings, of courseâŠ
We canât wait :innocent:
Got a package today. This is not a review light, nor is it from this group buy. I found someone closer to me and ordered it on the 6th, remarkably it got here today, the 15th, ahead of schedule as everywhere I saw this light listed it was on a Pre-Order status.
Light looks really good, finish is spot on with no visible mars or blemishes. Fitâs the hand really nicely, itâs like a grown up version of the UT02, in virtually all respects. With a tail switch AND a side switch, both giving the same functions, operation is very easy. Holding both buttons down simultaneously for 2 seconds locks it out. If you hit a button while in lockout it blinks red 3 times, reminding you that 3 quick clicks of either button will remove the lockout. Doing so gives you the 2 blinks of the LED signifying lockout is toggled and it returns to off. (If you hold the light upside down in your hand, such that the index finger is at the tail cap, itâs fairly easy to do the lock-out with one hand, even with my hands being on the small side.)
The reflector is significantly larger than the UT02, itâs got a flat reflective area around the emitter, wouldâve liked to have seen a wider aperture with the centering ring filling the space. There are some of the usual slight artifacts showing that itâs an HI Cree emitter, nothing really obnoxious but the little tell tale signs are there. Itâs got a nice tight semi-bright aura around the hot spot, Looking at the reflector itâs well done but not the best Iâve seen. You have to look hard though to see that itâs not a perfectly smooth mirror finish, there are microscopic giveaways of the machining underneath the mirror plating. Virtually all reflectors show this, so Iâm probably OCD about this.
I found that Efest 2500mAh button tops work well, theyâre longer than Sony VTC6âs which only allow the single cell slot to work, the other 2 C6âs are loose, not making contact. So I soldered copper buttons on the Sony flat tops, got contact but it could be broken with a hard shake, soldered another of my thin copper buttons on (two thin discs on each cell) and now everything is great with the VTC6âs. Should be plenty of room for protected cells, and virtually any cell should be capable of producing the current this light is drawing⊠especially with 3 cells in place. With one cell, the level 4 (top setting) is of less output as youâd expect, but still decent in spite of this. Great that the driver gives an emergency option, to use one 18650 or 2 CR123 cells. Versatile.
With the C6âs not freshly charged, I see these numbersâŠ
28.74 Lumens
121.10
393.3
2114.85 at start (after the other readings)
2038.95 at 30 seconds.
At 5 Meters testing, I got 223.5Kcd for 945.52M throw.
EDIT: At the emitter, voltage and current read as followsâŠ
0.03A at 10.49Vf
0.08A at 10.92Vf
0.24A at 11.53Vf
1.88A at 13.97Vf
With only one VTC6 it does 1486.95 lumens in level 4.
All in all itâs a very marked improvement over the UT02, a light that I like a lot already⊠so the Klarus will certainly become a weekly favorite on my 600 yard walk.
thanks for your impressions and opinion Dale!
Listed for 75.99 at BG now.

waiting a few days will save you some $$ ;)
Interested depending on price.
Thanks
Sure, I will.
Mike
Itâs also not even ready to be shipped so it makes sense to hold out for the best offer
Guys? This is a really neat light in stock form, I canât knock it as it performs very well.
If youâre planning on modifying it, I donât recommend it. For several reasons. Leave it alone and use it, youâll enjoy it a lot, just donât plan on modifying it and youâll be very happy.
Interested
Depending on price , would need another one, a total of 2
