09-Feb-2010 Site Upgrade

Hello all, I just did a routine maintenance upgrade to the site. You shouldn't notice anything different, but if something is broken please let me know!

Take care, have a great day!

Updated...

Any users here have problems with passwords being rejected after the upgrade? I had a user PM me that his user account was no longer valid after the upgrade.

If you have any sort of account problems, I have created a temporary user account:

Username: temp

Password: temp

Please log in with that and send me a private message if you are unable to do so with your normal user account.

Sorry for any problems you might have run into!

Only thing I noticed is that I had to log in for the first time in a while - up till now it has recognised me when I arrived. No big deal and could even have been deliberate.

Not even slightly a problem, just that I noticed it.

So far I noticed that this update fixed a problem with http://links not being automatically converted into links.

I guess Mr. Admin cleaned out the sytem cookies.....for me i make it a point to delete the cookies everytime i log off the computer. Makes for a faster startup and doesnt bog down your system.

Did you add the web page icon? I don't remember the blue dot showing up before, but I like it.

Sure did! Thanks, I wondered if anyone would notice! It's actually a rendered "Supernova" effect from The Gimp image editor, looks like someone is shining a light in your eyes.

I dont see any blue dots......

What browser you using Al? What brted saw is called the Favicon, in Firefox you'll see it to the left of the tab and also to the left of the URL bar. It's only 32 pixels square, black background with a starburst effect in the middle.

Is that it......i see it on my aol browser but not IE........

Then thats a negative.....i must not be special enough then.

What browser you using Al?

My main browser is AOL....been using since there was only dialup.....and of course Internet Explorer. I plan on cleaning up my hd of rotten cookies and see if that works.

Cleaned my browser cookies and still nothing. Hey its all good at least the site shows up, and thats what matters right.

Huh, that's strange sounds like the AOL browser doesn't support favicons. But I know Internet Explorer does. At any rate, you're right, doesn't really matter, it's just a bit of glitz.

But in IE it also doesnt show up...oh well. Its not like im missing something since the change didnt take place for me. On to the forums.

No issues at all.
