Review: Manker E02. 1xAAA - XPG3 - L shapped

Super review, as usual. Thanks for your efforts and keep the good work up! :+1:

Hi Trevi_lux, the instructions you show above mention a dragon breath mode. Wondering if you have tried to exercise that on your light?

By the way, the review is simply fantastic. So much detail regarding the light. Thanks for taking the time to show us all about this light, and the others you have reviewed.

Thanks for a great review. I like the light a lot, but why didn’t manker provide a headband for this light, eh manker? :weary:

I have received a sample _pre-production _unit, arrive without User Manual.
Pre-production have some diferences with the user manual provided by manufacturer.
In any case, the Turbo mode is accesed from off with 2 clics. Is the dragon breath the Turbo mode?, I do not know….
I have bought one stock unit, when arrive, I will can confirm the stock interface.

Regards

I was just going by the user interface posted in your original review. In that picture, it says to enter dragon breath mode to turn the light off, and continue holding the switch down. See number 5 in the user interface portion of your review.

thanks, Matt

I have also ordered the light, so I was just curious if it had that feature. I will find out for sure when mine arrives as well

As this torch looks like a headlamp. Does anyone know if we can obtain a head band

just saying

Thank you Trevi
I really like your beamshot animated comparisons
I also like the moonlight modes options and the next two modes, 15 and 65 lumens
the light is about 2x as heavy as my Olight i3s with Eneloop, suggests Manker is increasing mass to handle heat, as the head design also suggests

there is a lot to like about this light, including the magnet, the clip, and the position of the switch. Definitely a tempting combination of features, particularly for me, the option to buy the N219c version.

Is the Nichia closer to 4000K or 5000K? I’d be interested in the AA version but only if it’s 5000K.

afaik the E02 is not an AA light, it is AAA
If the N219c is anything like what they put in the LAD, it is 4000k, not 5000k

move along, these are not the 5000k AA droids you’re looking for…

This light is now on the Manker website: Manker E02 II 420 Lumens Ultra-Compact Pocket EDC Flashlight

I was a little disappointed to see the description of the UI on the website does not include the dragon breath mode shown in the UI displayed in this review (step 5 in first post in User Interface section. But it would not shock me to find that the feature is actually there. Either way, I am looking forward to trying this light out.

Same here, went for the grey so I can pretend its a Zebralight

thanks for the link. If I order off Manker’s website, where does it ship from? Thanks.

sorry, I did not research that. I spent a couple moments looking at their website and it was not obvious to me, but I suspect China.

Maybe you can look into it and let us know

There was a post in the other thread mentioning the upcoming AA version. I would prefer it to be cooler because 4000K is a bit warm for use at work.

I eventually went for the red one, never had a red light before.

Hmm, the heavy LED missalignment is a bit disappointing, the clip is too beefy and the red color is ugly… but from a practical use side it´s surely not a bad light. Does it fit into a normal 18650 headlamp headband? I guess not…
K.

Arrived the unit Manker E02 Nichia, that I bought in Manker store (ebay), the stock package is nicest than the preproduction samples.
This is bought for me and not provided by manufacturer. The quality is the same than the production unit.
You can see that below the engrave Manker on the head, now insert the word “light”, nicest!

Big 5 year warranty promise on the box too!

Tints, Manker E02 nichia Vs Manker E02 XP-G3:

you are the first delivered E02 buyer?
