I just heard back from FFRAN Tech Store and they said it’s a new light and that they will be launching it soon. You can still buy early like was mentioned before. Just contact them and they will set it up. I got a price of $28.50 with usb cable
This is pretty cool. I could turn it into a mini L6. Squeeze in a FX30 driver, a pair of 26350 then an xhp70. 
(I prefer a reflector beam shape over a TIR lens)
The MCPCB is 20 mm
The driver is an odd size with the two “ears” protruding. If the USB charger is not kept the easiest method to mount a new driver may be to strip the stock driver and simply use it to piggyback a new driver.
I have not measured any amps at all. Just lumens out the front.
Okay, it was the older L5 that had the big mcpcb.
I just ordered two directly from SupFire, flashlight only (no cells or chargers). Total including shipping to Sweden was $55.70.
I asked if they would sell hosts only, answer was no.
I ordered one a couple days ago to make a mini Convoy L6. Unfortunately 26350 batteries are too expensive to get at the moment. :cry:
I’m having a hard time getting it out. Did you need to heat it up or just use a lot of force? Does it screw out normally or have reversed threads like some Convoy hosts have?
Got my L5-L2 Monday. It does have the alum switch, no USB charging - it's what I wanted.
Hmmm. I had very little difficulty unscrewing it. I used my spanner tool, applied a little force and it came loose. It is a normal right hand thread, so CCW to unscrew.
Weird… one of mine is as if it was glued. I bought two, I’ll will try opening the other before resorting to violence.
Big correction here. The driver is not 29mm, it is 26mm.
I had planned to trim down one of my Convoy L6 30mm drivers to fit it, but at 26mm, it’s not going to fit. :cry:
Ugh! I’m trying really hard to get this thing apart.
I’m guessing it’s glued.
Reflector out was no problem for me, unscrewed easily. My problems are stated above.
One of yours was super tight and other not so tight?
The rear button certainly seems as if it was has hastily added. It doesn’t appear to be water tight at all. The metal cap over the rubber boot also flops around some.
I’ve only touched one of them so far. Haven’t gotten around to trying to open the other.
That’s right, it was the internal pill that is so tight on yours. My bad.
Crap! My bezel unscrewed by pressing the front against a piece of rubber inner tube.
I was able to line up 3 bungee cords and put a small block of wood on top. I pressed with all my body weight and it still slipped. I then added a bit of water to the rubber and wiped it to make it as tacky as possible and it just barely broke loose. Wow! I finally got it. :partying_face:
No glue, but super tight and with little to no edge to grip makes it tough.
I was able to straighten out the ring shape. I’ll just need to do a little touching up on it.

I guess my light got tightened up by some jacked up dude.
