Unfortunately, I have decided not to buy any more Klarus products until they honor their warranty with a BLF members failed Klarus light. Arrived 06/30 Klarus light by warranty (updated thread) - #9 by Streamer - 18650 Flashlights - BudgetLightForum.com I hope others will take a moment to read the link before they consider buying anything more from this company. Its also not too late to cancel your order.

I own several Klarus lights and have never had a problem with any of them. Having said that, I have read several others that have been ignored when a warranty issue crops up. I hope we can all do the right thing and help support the less fortunate by avoiding Klarus products until they honor their warranties.

M4D M4X - Thank you for putting together a very nice deal on this flashlight. I realize you earn a commission on your sales. Please dont take this personalty. You have pulled off many great buys for us, and we appreciate that. Being who you are, maybe you can find someone in Klarus that can effect change to regain our confidence in their company.

Thank you for reading.

Thanks Flash, you tell very well what I feel especially by M4d M4x which I have to thank for the coupons which I saved alot of money, but we have to stay together against those companys which dont respect us!

I will tell again: Darkus, if I invisible to you, my money will be invisible too! :confounded:

is this cool white right ?

Interested depending on price.

Thanks

Cells are series/parallel? What is current consumption from battery on Turbo?
Mike

1.88A at the emitter at 13.97Vf. Difficult to get read on the cells for current draw.

Two cells positive down, one cell positive up. One of the bays is set up such that the light will work on one 18650, or two CR123, in an emergency. Slightly lower output and of course less run time. Nearly 1500 lumens on a single 18650 where it does 2114 at start 2038 at 30 sec with all 3 cells installed. (Sony VTC6 with added button top)

I’m in depending on the price, gotta save up for the q8 ya know haha, have already filled up the form on the posted link =)

Anybody here know how this is done? The 3 cells are joined at the tail cap by what appears to be a pressed in steel disc. There is a momentary e-switch in the tail that has a corresponding contact pad on the spring side and the tube has a spring loaded brass plunger for this momentary switch, so the light works the same through either momentary, side or tail. So is the light using all 3 cells and a Buck configuration? Or does it ignore the single bay and do a Boost on the two cells? In the below pics, it’s B1 that works as a single cell, you can add B2 and B3 for 3 cell configuration which is the default way to use the light.

The retaining ring has an inset shelf on the inside that captures the tail pcb, it’s loose so it can freely rotate. Worthy to note that this retaining ring is left hand thread…

The electronic features of this light seem well thought out, it’s driven right up to it’s sweet spot, or dang near, and is easy to use. Wish they had reversing on the switch action but oh well, ToyKeeper has me thoroughly spoiled in that regard.

3 cells and Buck configuration not give 13,97V at the emitter

Interesting batt configuration.
I think It is Boost driver.
B1 boost to 13V± for sure.
B2 and B3 are in series 8.4V to 13V± ?
Dale can you use 2 cells only in B2 and B3 slot ?

No, the B2 and B3 slot are both positive to driver, so they’re oriented the same way.

Interested - please pm - Thanks!
