Balder SE-1 or Xeno E03? (Both are within a couple bucks of each other and both are now Xml so- which to get?)

Looks more like purple to me. Still looks cool though

I have the Xeno E03 and E15... no Balder. But, from what I have seen in pics, the Balder doesn't appear as well-built. I really wish the Xeno had a firefly mode and a pocket clip! GITD o-ring & tailcap, choice of tints, quality knurling & threads, tailstanding (great during blackouts with XML emitters), steel bezel... easily beats the Balder (in my opinion). I wish Xeno made a single CR123 light, or at least a CR123 version of their E15, complete with 1 or 2 cell capability! Any way to relay this to the guys at Xeno?

*edit* Also wanted to add that the positive terminal spring is a nice touch. I have broken two lights by dropping them on their heads and having the cell smash the board. One was a Jet Beam IBS and the other was a Solarforce L2r with their drop-in.

50 feet is High......... That's higher than dropping it off of the average sized suburban house roof.

yea, I threw it as high as I could and be accurate enough it wouldt land somewhere it wasn’t suppose too

Your SF drop-in had no spring?

Ah, yeah... sorry. The drop-in has a spring. The battery force was enough to bust the soldering holding it to the module. Maybe if it were a smaller board, the spring would have been enough to make the difference.

i found the xeno on ebay for $26 shipping included. waiting with anticipation for delivery. my decision based on looking a little less tactical. hope i made the rite one.

That's nice, could you please give us a link so we can get it for that price.

Xeno E03 XM-L or Xeno E03 XP-G ?

Im looking for a Xeno XML myself. but I cant figure out all the numbers.

Im looking for a NW xml version.

But it seems there are some V2 and V3 versions.

Then they also have XML T5 and T6..

whats the newest NW XML? V3 T6 or doesnt that exist?
Does NW only exist in T5 bins?

I was told NW T6 is too expensive to get and will make the cost of the E03 much more expensive. So I settled for the T5. That was before maybe the price went down already?

V2 will be harder to get brand new as they stopped its production.

Guys, do never drop the E03 100% bezel down onto a hard perfectly flat surface (e.g. marble tiles). Several things will break, especially if a LiIon is in it.

more i wont tell.

I’d be willing to bet very few, if any, lights would survive an impact situation like that.

I can tell you without any doubt that at the very least you didn’t make a wrong decision. I’d love to have one myself.

+1

The Rayovac Indestructible would survive it (rubber bezel, plastic lens, Alkaline cells, double springs).

I did it with the Xeno and it ... (nono no, i am not gonna tell until i got my ..etc.. )

Sorry for now.

Well, the cheapest you can get it right now is from hkequipment and you can make an offer to get it a little lower:

They are selling all colors at that price.

USA buyers are best just to go through Tactical HID at $33 shipped. Although I'm not thrilled with his international drop-shipping order process and communication. From what I hear domestic ordering is fantastic though.

Most of the tactical lights do not stand!

Personally I prefer the Balder CW I´ve got over my Xeno NW.

I kinda EDC the Balder and the Xeno have almost only seen drawertime since the Balder arrived...

I have the Balder XP-E too, a really great pocket thrower.

The momentary on, the clip and the bodyshape with the smaller diameter middle on the Balder is what makes me prefer it.

The Xeno has the upper hand when it comes to fit and finish though...

Folks, Im looking for some nice single AA/double AA pocket thrower with best efficiency, which one seems to be better, Xeno or Balder? I dont want to spend much on a flashlight given that return shipping in case of failure is too much so <20$ AA flashlight would be much better, yet Xeno design looks like it fits perfectly into ones hand, almost like its meant to blend with your hand!

So how is it, or should I go for Klarus ST20, thats one sexy beast, I tell ya!

Im gonna do some more research in coming weeks and see if some new lights are released after SHOT show and then start a new thread to get some help from you, pros ;)!
