Yup, put me down for one too please.
I’m in for a second! on at #20 right now I believe.
So are we getting close to ordering Proto#01?
Is it possible to do heat treatment to the Lumintop Tool Ti? If so, can you briefly explain how? Thanks!
I would think so. What I did with the 47 was strip it down to just the shell and clean thoroughly then with the head & body together I put a rod through the head opening and held it over the gas cooker.
This was my first attempt so I don’t have much advice on the technique except to heat the light evenly and remove from the heat before the desired colour as it will continue to change for a few seconds.
The colour changes progressively from left to right, it was the far left colour I was actually aiming for…
.
There’s also a way to do it with voltage
.
Too good to miss. I am in for 1 please! Thanks!
I am in for one also!
thanks
Sweet CRX!
Will update list later
Thank you!
Interesting project, I’m interested in a unit. Please add me to the list.
Greetings.
When SB is ready I’ll update OP
AWESOME looking ! You’re very talented, onnha
Yet another AWESOME one… WOW
CRX, I gotta say I just love that MT-G2 in the Ti 4Sevens light! Beautiful!
Thanks mate, you know how I like stupid emitter/ host setups
It was originally an XHP50.2 but it killed itself, worked out fine though as I love the MT-G2.
Did you do that Thrunite yourself? Very nice :+1:
I do my Ti coloring a bit differently. I gut the light, run a section of all thread through it and using a washer top and bottom I snug it with a nut on each end. Then I mount the all thread in my drill press and use a propane torch on the Ti while it’s spinning. Easier for me to get a more uniform heat build up this way.
I’ve had the MT-G2 in so many small lights it’s ridiculous! lol A chopped Mini Mag was probably the smallest, using a pair of IMR 14250’s.
In for one.
1 please.
