This is probably the coolest light BLF has ever done. I’m guessing it’ll probably be really big if the design goals are met.

Is it possible to do heat treatment to the Lumintop Tool Ti? If so, can you briefly explain how? Thanks!

I would think so. What I did with the 47 was strip it down to just the shell and clean thoroughly then with the head & body together I put a rod through the head opening and held it over the gas cooker.
This was my first attempt so I don’t have much advice on the technique except to heat the light evenly and remove from the heat before the desired colour as it will continue to change for a few seconds.

The colour changes progressively from left to right, it was the far left colour I was actually aiming for…

.

There’s also a way to do it with voltage

Thanks mate, you know how I like stupid emitter/ host setups Big Smile
It was originally an XHP50.2 but it killed itself, worked out fine though as I love the MT-G2.

Did you do that Thrunite yourself? Very nice Thumbs Up

I do my Ti coloring a bit differently. I gut the light, run a section of all thread through it and using a washer top and bottom I snug it with a nut on each end. Then I mount the all thread in my drill press and use a propane torch on the Ti while it’s spinning. Easier for me to get a more uniform heat build up this way.

I’ve had the MT-G2 in so many small lights it’s ridiculous! lol A chopped Mini Mag was probably the smallest, using a pair of IMR 14250’s. Wink
