Difference between Opus BT-C3400 & BT-C3100 v2.1?

Yeah this thread has been derailed a few times, I agree…… BUT, it has seemed to get back on track sooner rather than later.

I freely admit I am one of “The Technically Challenged Brethren”….
I’m sure no one would have guess that. :person_facepalming: . :open_mouth: . Baaa-haaaa

BUT, I have learned a lot from this discussion; and that is a fact Jack. .

Even though I don’t understand a lot of the technical stuff gauss posts, I read more about it later & a bit is actually sinking in from time to time. Let me be clear, there is nothing wrong at all with how gauss posts his technical stuff; it is I just am not smart enough or informed enough to understand it without further research most of the time. And even then I may not get it, but so what…. I am getting some of it, therefore I am learning a bit more. :+1:
Thank you gauss……… :+1:

Usually HKJ “dumbs down” what he says enough that I can understand it a bit easier. :+1:
And, just to be crystal clear here also; when I use the phrase “dumbs down” that is in no way a derogatory statement toward HKJ.
It is a compliment of the highest degree. If he wanted to he could describe something in a way that I personally would not have any idea at all what he was talking about. Thank goodness he does not do that.
Thank you HKJ!!! :+1:

And wolfdog, God Bless him; through dogged determination, many hours, & blood-sweat-tears he has spearheaded this journey of the quest to find out what in the heck is wrong with the OPUS.
There have been successes and failures, but each one has brought us closer to the answer or answers as it may very well be.

I don’t think wolfdog is a technical genius, but so what; he has plowed forward and I for one have learned a lot from the vast amount of info he has dug up and brought to the table. :+1:
And ALL of it is bringing/has brought us closer to the answers.
Good job wolfdog………. :+1:

And what I said several posts back, about us being friendlier towards each other; I meant it. Sure, I said it in a semi-comical way… but I meant it. Of course there have been a few bumps in that road, but so what. I honestly do think we as a group, on & in this thread; we have become a bit more understanding and friendlier toward each other. YMMV, but that is my assessment.

We might not be able to sit around a campfire and sing Kumbaya just yet without a few of us punching each other out………. BUT, on this particular thread, we have done much better than when it started. :+1:
Wolfdog mentioned this first a few hundred posts ago & for the most part, it has gotten even better since then.

Chops has had a whole lot of good input also as have several others that will go unnamed because of time constraints

In other words, from my simple perspective; this whole journey has been & is, a learning experience; in more way than one. :+1: …

The End…….

That is something I tries very hard to do. Not that I will write stuff in a non-technical way, but I try to limit the technical jargon a bit.

And sorry about the links in my last mail, I used the wrong syntax, it is fixed now. I give up on links in answers, spaces do not work (I am too lazy to do my answers in raw html, anybody that want to see where my links leads to simply replace %2520 with a space in the link).

The general problem is that spaces in links do not work and when posting links from the browser where spaces is replaced with 20 the board replaces that with an escape for the sign (%25), instead of accepting it as a code for space.

Then you could just as easily use html code, it will also work.

I personally think you do a great job and I am one “dummy” that appreciates it greatly. .

No apology necessary, but thank you for the explanation of how to “fix it”. :+1:

Amen gauss, I totally agree. Thank you. :+1:

HKJ—You are true one of a kind—-your countless reviews and post have helped so many people—I enjoy reading your reviews—very informative to every one———————-Thanks

teacher—I didn’t forget you—great way to sum it all up—are you the guy around the camp fire that keeps the two drunk friends from fighting—LOL

Thank you chops, I appreciate that. :+1: . But hey, even a blind hog finds an acorn now and then.

Hmmmmm, that would depend on who the “two friends were”.

This is totally irrelevant ———-

gauss…. :person_facepalming: … I’m not raggin’ on you my friend. But this is what I am talking about…. I even “tried” to look it up. . No joy…
Given, I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer… but this sounds like it came straight from a Jargon Generator … :weary:

Meta-level tangents = 元級切線 ……. both of these mean about the same thing to me.

Your gonna have to try and “dumb it down” a bit more or at least provide a link so I can find out what you mean when you write something like this…. please.

Maybe that is how I learned how to use forums…. but at this rate I’ll never know for sure.

:+1: … Thank you sir.

Oh, my bad. :person_facepalming: … But thanks for letting us know. :+1: …

I just completed a trivial test with 3 chargers—- 3100 / 3400 / Liitokala 500
With a 3 cell group of NOS laptop pulls that were charged and matched a year ago on the 3400 ( didn’t want to abuse good cells)
My conclusion—the BT-3100 mah reading is around 5-6 percent higher than the other 2 chargers—The 3400 and the 500 test fairly close on average—amazing considering the Opus’ discharge @ 1 amp and the Lii 500 @ .5 amp—— When you compare the readings as a group, then figure their percentage match—all 3 chargers are very close in that regard—- this set of cells with all 3 chargers is around 4% match— Not sure why there is #1 cell that is a flyer ( target term) but the overall average is pretty consistent

BT-3100 / Lii 500 / BT3400

cell #1 2122 / 2161 / 1999

cell #2 2208 / 2070 / 2070

cell #3 2166 / 2077 / 2083

Thanks for the info & pics of thr LiteOn gauss!! Much appreciated….

So can anyone sum up what the differences are between the C3400 & C3100 v2.1?

The 3400 discharge to 3.1v ,3100 discharge to 2.8.

It would depend on when you bought the 3400…….

Haven’t bought one yet. My C3100 v1 is on its last leg, so I’m looking to get another…. or “upgrade” to the SkyRC MC3000

If you upgrade to the MC-3000 just be aware of what you are getting to. I only thought I knew when I got one…. :person_facepalming:

A great charger no doubt. :+1: Much to complicated for me though.
