Thank you, feel myself rather kind of newbie (my 1st post here) and would preffer already factory made flashlight if such any exists. Am OK with the conversion too - any tips for a host with good heatsink and 20mm driver would be highly appreciated :slight_smile:

Hopefully someone else can chime in to confirm, as I dont personally own one, but I was told that the Thorfire C8S takes a 20mm driver.

OK and how about Convoy M2 - anyone know if this is a good candidate for XHP50.2 conversion too?

I have tried the XHP50.2 with the Eagle Eye X7 reflector and found that the beam, even though there was no obvious donut hole, was fairly uneven and ugly. For a really nice beam with the XHP50.2 still a OP reflector is better IMO.

Yep, the 26650 K5 also comes in 3 tints. Unfortunately all 3 tints of the KF8 are sold out. Was very popular!

I received two from this seller on Aliexpress, one late March and one mid April both had a 19.6 mm driver.

I think the C8S with a OP reflector and a XHP50.2 is a nice mod, much better that the X7.

Be careful buying the k8. I ordered one 17/5. They still haven’t shipped it. On 23/5 they told me they are still checking the light before they send it. They would ship before last week was over. They haven’t replied to my messages since then.

Thanks Jos, I have what is essentially this light in the 26650 size and branded as Old-Lumens Special Edition. I’ like to put the XHP-50.2 in it with a boost driver and run an auction style giveaway with proceeds going to Mrs. O-L. Can you link the driver for me so I can be sure to acqure the correct one?
This light was in the kit I bought from Justin before he passed away.
I’ll get a pic of it and better description whe the wife wakes up later…
