New 4XP Noctigon MCPCB for quad optic

Not sure why these V6 1D’s haven’t gotten more attention here. I’m think’n they will do nice de-domed. XM-L2 1C’s de-domed, I feel look awful, but the 1D is more inline with the 1A tint on the CREE tint chart, so they should tint shift about equal, maybe even better than the 1A. I think we said in the past, de-doming can go 2 tints up and 1 tint to the right or so, and if that’s right, the 1D should be less green than a 1A when de-domed.

Of course I’d prefer a V6 0D, 1R or 1U tint, but for some reason they aren’t available I suppose.

Well, I just ordered a couple and we’ll see. At least from Hank, I know they will be as advertised . Thanks!!

Ahh, yep - could be V5, could be V2 - who knows. They dunno what they are selling. Not that I wouldn't buy them though, the sucker that I am .

Well, thanks for your concern, we’ve been working on some new projects, and they will be released before the end of this month.

I’ve only had two single 18650 lights: Fenix TK11 XP-G R5 (old), and Tiablo A10G XR-E R2 (old). There’s literally not a single 18650 light that excites me for EDC purpose. Until now. Man I’m stoked.

In that case my guess is that it does not have a (BeCu) spring for the cell… Although I don’t find the design elegant, DQG’s design used in the Tiny 26650 is clever.

It does use our BeCu spring both in the tailcap and driver pcb to minimize
the resistance as small as possible.

That D4 seems one of those perfect flashlights, I hope for a user interface just as perfect as the form and specs!

Interesting. I do prefer springs over some solid contact so that’s good to know.

The D1 has one emitter. The D4 has four emitters. So… does the D17 have seventeen emitters? The planned 8x18650 powered Noctigon was I believe supposed to have 9 XHP35 HI emitters for 16000 lumens. Perhaps this changed to seventeen XP-L HI emitters? Or maybe seventeen XP-G2/Nichia emitters for around 10000 lumens, but with a lot more throw than the M43?
