New 4XP Noctigon MCPCB for quad optic

Hi Hank would sell nichia 219b r9080 in the future?

Awesome , thanks !

Clemence has already found the R9080’s difficult to obtain, while he has a very direct contact at Nichia. It would be quite an achievement if Hank was able to get Nichia to release to him the few that they make.

does D4 have a price?

wle

$35

ok, interested, i assume you will announce it here on the budgetlightforum?

what user interface will it have?

i am a big fan of whatever is in the BLF A6, i forget what it;s called
or “Bistro”

Can I be in line for the first D4? Haha

Wow Hank. I like that little quad.

When will that be available? :stuck_out_tongue:

According to post #203 before the end of this month… :sunglasses:

O, it’s a quad? Very nice. :+1:
Keep us posted!

What’s the head / tail / body diameter?

I’d say almost the same as an S2+ and other tube-style 18650 lights, so 24/25mm-ish

Welcome back Hank. Its nice to see that you’re still in the game. Good luck with your new flashlight models. I bet you sell many.

92mm VS 117mm (S2 tube light)

Is it the end of June yet? :sunglasses:

So… the D7 (instead of D17) has seven emitters. Maybe like DQG with single 26650 (Well it could be seven XH-P70 emitters buuuut I doubt that)? So I do assume Nichia option is then available for the D7.

Interested in this D4!!!

Yes, length is smaller. But with 10622 head has to be larger. Tail looks larger too. Could you please share the diameter numbers?

I did some pixel counting. It’s not accurate, but I guess the tail cap is 26.5 mm, battery tube: 24 mm, head: 28 mm + protrusion. Head would be 24 mm long, tail - 23 mm.
This adds up to ~48 cm^3.
For comparison, DQG Tiny 4th 18650 is very roughly 38 cm^3, 21% smaller.

If shortened to 18350 size, this would be very roughly 34 cm^3 vs. 26 cm^3, 25% smaller.

28mm(head )* 24mm(tube) * 25.6mm(tailcap)

Whatever happened with the rumors of the new Meteor I believe it was or something similar, read about a new light on the Meteor thread some time back ? Last year I believe.
Great new light Hank, and still wishing you’d start remaking some of your lights from the early days again,
