I nor hate them or nor love them

But I have read more bad things from them than good things.

One sad thing that I have heard is that when you have a problem with them (i.e. not received order, missing items, defective items, etc) they give you a gift card but it is a "false" card, I mean, when you try to use it, the gift card is invalid.

Things like that make DD and another sellers (including DX) not serious... but DD has the biggest worst comments about them (also everbuying)

Hmmm....my giftcard may be fake, I didnt try to use it yet.

Thinking about it, its not really positive then. I wish they sent me the right light in the first place, then Id have it now.

But I try to take things in stride.

I think it is not fake. I haven't encountered any gift card that didn't work.

I also had some very good experiences !
Bad ones to

I have never seen any unresolved issues with the gift cards, maybe one or two are invalid, i encountered once which mine was invalid and a new one was issued immediately. I have used quite a number myself and i think hundreds of examples as well from that battery incident where they gave out cards that even have more value that were actually purchased. It's the coupons that don't work due to expiry (which change often)....but that's the fun.

Anyway if any of you know where else can i get 6 bucks TF Flames 2400, let me know, i need some.

So far I’m 3 and 0 and have 1 on the way,

+ 1

i luv their giftcards!! They work. It's an amazing system of coupons plus dinopoints plus giftcards. And after these three together(!), whatever is left as payable amount, you pay with paypal.

With other stores, you get only 1 type of discounting method. With DD, you can use up all three methods within a single order. And shipping for my last ordered item ( value: 68.99$, paypal invoice: 31.xx$ haha hehe) was completed by the next day.

I have only VERY GOOD experience with DD so far. And you're hearing this statement from kreisler and not any forum spammer or shiller. And neither do i work for them. (in fact, i am the one who abuses their discounting system the most, ha!)

Gotta luv Summer's DD-sized ;)

(( and sorry for my seemingly big-blown ego haha. it's pseudo, all facade, and an ironical post. btw read any of my posts with a smirk. maybe i should change my sig to it!! kreisler and posting serious?? get outta here!!! :D ))

Dino direct had the best deals any flashaholic has ever seen.....

and did it for 2 months solid ...

Meanwhile every other Vendor either was out of business ,hibernating ,asleep or dead .

Thank you Dino Direct for some of the best deals on the planet.

Indeed. Good times. The 20% off coupons, random big price drops, random multiple item deals, REAL group buys. Man, I wish they do it again.

I have had very good experiences with DD past few months until one out of stock item. But I can understand this as it was already a half priced quality item. I never thought of buying other than flashlights from them but this automatic Mm doesn’t sound bad either.

Recently placed some orders with Dinodirect. Just received the first one, in less than three weeks from the order date, which is good, provided that Chinese New Year celebration introdices a disruption to normal business practices. UF-H2 is great, they also inclided a nice small souvenir and $5 coupon. The whole thing - product, price, and DD's apparent desire to please customer - just blows out US competition.

Thank you, DinoDirect, you made my day.

I received a UniqueFire X8 clone from DD recently which turned out to be DOA. Battery mix-ups aside, this was my first major issue after dozens of orders, unless I am forgetting something.

I sent them a detailed description of the problem and asked if they wanted a video. They did, so I pulled the light apart and attempted some legoing and some troubleshooting (basically, everything short of breaking out the soldering iron) - all on camera. Getting the video to them turned out to be the tricky part, most likely because of the Great Firewall of China so that's not really their fault. After some back and forth over the course of 10 days, I received a refund for the X8 (the rest of the order was fine) so, all in all, two thumbs up from me.

It's hard for me to believe, but I have placed 14 (small) orders with DinoDirect in the last 18 6 months. I have received all but the latest order (from 10 days ago). Complaints: DD sent me unprotected 18650 TF flames once (but they fixed that problem), and their DinoPoints system used to not function correctly. Although I have hated on DD for their (relatively minor) screw-ups, overall I am very happy with them.

EDIT: I have made 14 orders in 6 months, not 18. Apparently I can't count.

DD shot themselves in the foot by paying shills to promote them on forums, we cannot distinguish beetween genuine praise (deserved or not) and BS.

I also think it is wrong to assume that DD will treat you the same way if you are a established member of a forum they spam constantly and a isolated client.

Oh yeah and It's quite funny that the OP think that's a good experience and feel it's worth letting the world know, i mean he didn't receive what he ordered...

Have you bought from DD?

I think we can distinguish shills/fake from genuine reviews/praise (Apart from Kreisler he's very suspect). Nonetheless, this forum provided all the reliable reviews we need. When there were problems it has been shown DD rectified them satisfactorily. Of course we all feel dirty about it.

Both good points. I have to admit your second point never even occurred to me, but it's a valid observation. In my case, they knew who I was.

That I do disagree with. I'd definitely consider that a good experience.

Sure, we all want things to go perfectly but, at the same time, we know that's not always realistic. That's why, personally, I'd rate a business interaction (doesn't matter if I am buying a $35 flashlight or asking for warranty work on a $35k car) highly if people go out of their way to fix whatever problem they're asked to deal with, regardless if it's their fault or not.

I'd rather deal with a screw-up as long as they fix it and know that I can reasonably expect at least some help if there's a problem than buy something, have it break two days after it's out of warranty and have them tell me "sorry, no can do, come again please".

I agree with you to some extent. They should have just sent what was ordered but how they deal with problems tells me something about the vendor itself. That said, DD is definitely not for the uninitiated.

LOL! That made my day :D (c'mon gimme a break lol!!)

I might be close to being banned from DD for abusing their crediting system so i should be the least suspicious. Leaving dubious me kiddo aside, we do have enough user reports of more credibility and reputation and trust which document what to expect from DD and that they are after all neither much better nor much worse than similar popular dealers (DX, KD, MF). The December deals ("69% Off") were for all of us a great opportunity to get to know them and give them a chance for the very first time. It's also very helpful to have some responsible (the Summer) among us on BLF who takes care of us flashies personally. I dont know when i am going to use up my Dinopoints .. but that keeps me as future customer hehe.

And i like the green Dino's. So cute. (haha, juss jokin')

I had very positive experiences from DD with more of 15 orders.

Not that I had no issues but every problem(just 2 times) fixed by CS

About kraisler his reviews are genuine made with heart, maybe just... he should write first the normal price, and than on () the freaking price that he payed with his dirty methods making us envious xD

That is classic. I had the same experience on my first order too but I was still relieved when they gave me a decent credit for their mistake (and the giftcard did work). I have a supposed credit over at DX but haven't ever been able to get it to work, and chat mysteriously disconnected with DX when I tried to use it again.

I thought the first DD mixup on my light was isolated so I just ordered the Nitecore EX11 again from them only to again receive pictures of the EZ-AA nitecore :(. So much for them trying to fix stocking/inventory errors?
