I might be close to being banned from DD for abusing their crediting system so i should be the least suspicious. Leaving dubious me kiddo aside, we do have enough user reports of more credibility and reputation and trust which document what to expect from DD and that they are after all neither much better nor much worse than similar popular dealers (DX, KD, MF). The December deals ("69% Off") were for all of us a great opportunity to get to know them and give them a chance for the very first time. It's also very helpful to have some responsible (the Summer) among us on BLF who takes care of us flashies personally. I dont know when i am going to use up my Dinopoints .. but that keeps me as future customer hehe.
And i like the green Dino's. So cute. (haha, juss jokin')

Not that I had no issues but every problem(just 2 times) fixed by CS
About kraisler his reviews are genuine made with heart, maybe just... he should write first the normal price, and than on () the freaking price that he payed with his dirty methods making us envious xD
That is classic. I had the same experience on my first order too but I was still relieved when they gave me a decent credit for their mistake (and the giftcard did work). I have a supposed credit over at DX but haven't ever been able to get it to work, and chat mysteriously disconnected with DX when I tried to use it again.
I thought the first DD mixup on my light was isolated so I just ordered the Nitecore EX11 again from them only to again receive pictures of the EZ-AA nitecore :(. So much for them trying to fix stocking/inventory errors?
This is a budget light forum...I dont earn $25,000/mo so I cant post on the Porsche 911 forum (6-sp online). I just shop flashlights by price mostly, and the cheapest place I buy from.
I think many people are like that here...If MF had the best price I would be writing about them. Maybe more people shop at DD because its cheaper so more people have problems, I dont know.
I was like you once OP... even praising DD on a few occasions.. until they messed up my last order big time.
Take advantage while it lasts, because soon they will lie to you and bungle up your order.
I think they make it a point to mess up a lot of orders... Buy a $15 flashlight - you get the wrong item - they give you a $10 gift card - then they get you to order again and get more of your money, and I'm sure 90%+ of those that use the gift cards buy much more than the cards face value.
I ordered a valuable DMM only a few days ago. it was shipped THE DAY AFTER. only today did i also receive the pre-ship photo. It's more like a post-ship photo haha. It shows a box with a DMM from the same DMM-making company (Uni-T ("unity") - Uni-Trend) but the model number seems wrong.
I said "seems".
The model i ordered was UT61E, and the pic shows UT61.
In any case it's from the same UT61-series (UT61A, B, C, D, E, ..) i guess haha. Yeah not funny lol. All of the 61's are excellent DMM's so it doesnt really matter which one i actually receive. If it turns out to be the wrong model number, i'll get my 30$ giftcard from OttA (or Tiffany, Laureen, Chantal, Jacqueline *ggg*) and feel like a happy camper.
When you order with giftcards, the received items seem to be the ordered ones. No more mix-up's. that's good news!!

Kreisler, the UT-61E is definitely not the same as the A/B/C/D. It is much more sensitive and supposedly gives you less internal resistance for measuring current.
51?, you mean the 50 II-series? ( on DD, the UT50E costs exactly the same as the UT61E. )

I had a good experience with DD. Placed 4 separate orders in December using various coupons. All have been received between 7 and 31 days following ordering. All shipped standard mail except for the V60C which went express since it was >$100.
All lights/batteries are as expected. No defects of any kind and work perfectly. I am very satisfied with both the price, quality and delivery time. I know others have had mixed results, so I consider myself lucky.
UNI-T uses the same box for the entire series. My UT61A came with the same box as shown in your photo. I was hoping they send me the UT61E but they didn't mess up and I got what I ordered...
You were hoping that they messed up up things (to get a better machine), and now I am hoping that they messed up things (to get a 30$ giftcard).

Your comment reminded me of the first time I volunteered at the local SPCA. They told me they get the most amount of dog bite complaints from Labs or Labrador Retrievers type breeds. I was shocked. I would have guessed a pit-bull, GSD, rottweiller or even a bull mastiff, but a Lab? Really? Then it occurred to me that labs/goldens are the most popular dogs in my neck of the woods. It makes sense. Even though Labs maybe known to have better temperments compaired to a GSD, they're so many of them and so many nasty little kids poking and pulling their tails.
I haven't had what you call the perfect experience from DD but you can bet I'll be buying from them again because they often have the best prices. And as esrevenge put it, I'll go where it's cheapest.
