Can you confirm that the first 500 orders will get the free extension tube? According to the product page, the extension tube is an additional cost.
Is there any description on how the UI will work? Is there a way to go directly to low from off?

No visible PWM for all levels. Tested with Li-ION and Ni-MH.
Estimated max lumens with 2xAA please
I am unable to provide accurate results because there is an installation issue with emitter. I have already reflected to BG a few weeks ago regarding this matter. They replied me that my sample was upgraded by the factory before sending it to me. They reassured me that it was isolated case, and it would not happen to the actual production units. 
I will follow up with them on that.
According to the manual, XP-L V5 AA is 180lm max. No increase in brightness (measured from my sample) if you choose to run 2xAA, what you get is extra runtime only. Please take note.

Still interested… But the coupon does not work if you leave the free extension tube in your cart.
It gives an error: “This coupon cannot be used on gifts and accessories.” 
Managed to find some time to work on ET1 in the morning. I think i have the duty to inform you guys for what I discovered for my sample underneath the reflector :FACEPALM:
I have reported the matter but i cannot guarantee they will change the assembly method for mass production.
I’m not exactly sure what happened there, but it doesn’t inspire confidence in the quality of the light.
I guess it is a good thing that the coupon with the free extension tube still doesn’t work or I would have already ordered it. Today it doesn’t even add the free extension tube ‘gift’ to your cart. It still shows the ‘gift’ checkbox as you circled in your first post, but it doesn’t appear the cart.
How does the UI work? Any glitches?
