New 4XP Noctigon MCPCB for quad optic

Good catch! Yes, the bezel is 2mm longer than before to fit the lens and optic better, with double o-ring to offer more reliable water proof, so, the length is 94mm now.

Usb charge?

There is no built-in charger.

Please keep it like that for the other lights too :+1:

water proof testing

Hank any idea how many lumens is gonna do?

The current test shows that the peak OTF output is around 3000lm for the XP-G2 S4.

I am little impatient!!! I can no t wait!!

Damn. Was gonna get the Nitecore Concept 1 but no point now haha

Any idea when the D1S will be available? I was about to buy a uTorch UT02, but then I saw this one.

These new lights look like they’re going to be a real hit. It’ll be hard to wait for shipping.

…It’s the 29th of the month… Hope there are no delays…

Alright how about a question to Mr. Hank then. So is the D7 model the infamous 17000 lumen 8x18650 monster, or is it another model? And if it is another model, will we someday see the 17000 lumen monster?

Was looking forward to the end of the month :frowning:

8 days ago still, a design change of the body was tested by Hank. How can anyone expect that in 8 days the final design was approved, production has taken place and the many lights ready for sale on the website?

If the lights are indeed available this week, as a member of the Q8 team I envy Hank to have this super-manufacturer. :open_mouth:

Of course that makes sense, and we certainly don’t want disastrous rushed products on the market. But the reason for hoping/expecting is simply Hank’s own words:

If it needs to be delayed, then so be it. I definitely prefer “make things right first time” approach. But as a flashaholic it is also my duty to ask and nag a little bit too.

Edit:

Yeah I was a bit surprised to read about the new bezel and double o-ring waterproofing test, as I expected the project to have well passed that stage for an end of the month release…

Hank, will you be selling host only option? Or option with everything except driver?

I asked him already , but he is not planning to sell as hosts .

Ahh, ok thanks. Haven’t been following this thread at all. If the LED choice is optional I guess I can live with replacing the driver.

If I understand correctly, it’s mod-friendly and the driver can probably be reflashed instead of having to be replaced. Of course, we won’t know for sure until someone opens one up to see what’s inside, but I think it’s supposed to be very similar to what the Q8 uses (only smaller).

This could make the D4 somewhat of a holy grail of flashlights — a light with the general size, style, and quality of a ZL SC63 or Olight S2, but dramatically brighter, cheaper, and mod-friendly. If Hank plays this right, I think the two upcoming lights could be extremely popular.
