ENDED

Put me down for one please

Because on our end it allows us to buy a product for a much lower price.

On Utorch’s end it allows them to produce a light with much less effort and overhead.

It would be cool to have decent mode spacing near the high end so the only options aren’t 3,300 or 10,000. I agree that both a short-lived bright 10k and more cool modest 6-8k are desirable.

Put me on the list. I’m definitely down to get one of these now. Still hoping for a neutral white. fingers crossed

The assumption I was making is that manker or subsidiary of manker owns utorch and that is why each of their lights are so similar. I guess thats not the case. I couldn’t see why manker would benefit from that arrangement.

The problem with this and why manufacturers don’t do it is because you don’t see much difference in output. They have to find a balance between good mode levels and not have too many levels. Too nant levels, like 6 or 7, can be a pain to cycle through all the time.

I agree with you, though. On my L6 with ramping firmware I tend to bring it up to max, then drop down just a tiny bit. As soon as I see the output drop a little, I stop it there. It’s almost as bright as max, but with way less heat buildup and battery drain so it’s more practical.

Utorch is a seperate company. Manker is very upset with them. They are quite “disgusted” by their practices. It’s just the China way, though. Manker has even “borrowed” idea and designs from other companies. Still, Utorch seems to be making very direct copies. Even releasing them at the same time or before Manker!

Interested in a PM please.

Why didnt they push it to 12000 lm?

Interested! Pm price if available

Interested for One depending on the price.

Yes, make it a real HOT Rod!! :+1: :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp:

What is your source for this information? I know there is a post or two from member Manker that indicate “discuss” but I don’t buy it. There’s no way for a copier to reverse engineer a light and release it before the origional. Especially not over and over again.

It is my opinion that Manker/utorch is a marketing game that allows Manker to manipulate its market. It seems clear to me, but I do not have a source or any proof and so it can be considered speculation.

Or Manker has a leak somewhere and designs are picked up and rushed onto the market before the source is released.

^ Manker told me via pm that they are ODM for GearBest, and there will be no Manker variant of the UT03. The question then is why Manker wrote “disgusting” twice regarding the UT01 and UT02. My only explanation is that they have great sense of humor…

From what I gather, the company that makes the Manker lights (has the blueprints, machines the housings, etc…) seems to be venturing off making their own version. They make slight alterations, but it’s mostly based on Mankers design.

If the UT03 were to come out before the Manker version, very few people would buy the Manker. It would be a big blow to their sales. So it might make sense to them to just cut their losses and not produce it.

Both companies are in good relationship now. Let's move on and focus on making more kick-ass flashlights!

interested

Hi, I am interested depending on the price. Thanks.

Is there any chance to get XHP70.2 in them?
I even would pay a tenner more for that :stuck_out_tongue:
