Copper & Aluminium Mule Build

Another wee torch for you today

I built this copper & aluminium triple mule flashlight out of some 3/4” plumbers pipe, 1” aluminium tube and some other bits ’n pieces I had with the usual hacksaw and hand files.
It has an S6 brass pill filed down and soldered into the copper tube along with a filed down brass retaining ring holding the reverse clicky switch.
I’ve used a slightly different design with this light, incorporating a sliding inner core held in place by friction and a magnetic battery door cover.

This light is 18350 powered and a companion light to my copper & aluminium zoomie build

XP-G2 S3 3C emitters on 20mm noctigon MCPCB
MTN 17mm driver
Reverse clicky tail switch
Magnetic tail
ARC glass
Felt lined battery tube
Carbon fibre bezel insert
Length – 60 mm
Width – 25 mm
Weight – 97 grams (with cell)
Max – 1400lm

Another awesome little creation!

You need to make a album or thread with a compilation of all your custom built lights, just 2-3 of each one, they are soooooo good

Thanks very much :+1:

Click on the image in my sig

Cute little thing it is. Are you going to use a carclo lens?

Lol!!! Way ahead of me it seems, that’s unreal

No, for a few reasons.
I did think about it but this is the last cutting of 1” alu tube that I had and it was just not long enough for an optic to be installed.
I considered not using the brass pill and having virtually no heatsink but as this is a set with the larger zoomie light I felt the floody mule complimented that.

Very clever. What did you use to cut the section from the copper tube?

everyone should have one of these.

Once again, Wow!!!

Laservision

.

I cut and filed a section from another piece of copper pipe

Neat.

Stevi man………………….!!! STEVI!!!

Just stop it will ya!!!

Absolutely awesome - not just the execution, but the design as well - you don’t half think outside the box mate.

You know where I live.
