New GearBest zanflare F2

when they write X in an IP indication means that the X value is not specified.
So IP68 means mechanical resistance 6, water resistance 8
IPX8 means mechanical resistance not specified, water resistance 8

I like the oblique/spiral knurling of the Zanflare flights. Looks quite unique.

can’t wait for a review of this light

Is it a mistake, or is the runtime at hi (200 lm) level only .63 hours?? If it dims down to medium and continues running for some time then maybe that might be acceptable. But if it just goes off or very dim after only 36 mins on hi with 2xAA, then that seems really short. Seems like a terribly inefficient driver.

I just ordered one, so maybe I’ll try my first attempt at a review in a couple of weeks if no one else posts one by then.

This light is seducing me… Helpppp!!!

Resistance is futile.

This forum will be the end of me (if my wife finds out I bought 5 flashlights in less than 24 hours).

Have one on the way for review!

Now at gearbest for $12.99 code F2DEAL

Nlooks like a nice 2*AA light.

I have one on the way as well. I am curious about the 200 lu. max. It seems low by today standards, we will see.

Here is a review Review: Zanflare F2 | Candle Power Flashlight Forum

Looks like a XP-G2 LED to me.

The NW version is currently on sale for $ 9.99 http://www.gearbest.com/led-flashlights/pp_613216.html

I have sent a question to the R&D team regarding the emitter (XP-G3 or XP-G2). I will update the review thread when I get an answer.

This is looking fairly decent for the price. I don’t think there are any 2xAA torches in this price range for me, and even if inefficient, it makes for a great gift.

Jack Kellar, I reviewed the new generation F2S a while back. These are nice 2xAA flashlights for sure. They look, feel, and function like a well-made quality brand light.

As for the question of emitter. The F2S uses the CREE XP-G2 emitter. A representative from Zanflare said that the documentation says XP-G3 because they intended to use XP-G3, but changed at some point and failed to update the documentation.

Thanks, David, you’re a bro. Sent the link to my lightless-but-interested father, maybe he’ll want one once it goes on sale. I’d like one for myself now that I don’t have a 2xAA torch anymore (gave two away like a dope and my third broke, but that’s water under the bridge) and my T10 has unsatisfying mode distribution (moonlight and low are too low) and tint (neutral white? More like avocado green!).

Yep, I noticed the title now says XP-G2, and I have nothing against that. The G2 is far and wide my favorite Cree LED when it comes to lumen/candela proportions and overall efficiency on lower modes, and it plus AA power source is a match made in heaven.

At high mode it sink only 1060mA (I check it), so with good accu you can get 2h of working.

Yeah, I’d browsed for reviews before and found that one already. Cheers.

Too bad the reviewer doesn’t measure runtimes on the lower modes so we know the specs are accurate.

At min current is 70mA, so with 2400mA you get 35 hours (2400/70=34._).

For longer time you have exelent Jetbeam JET-u with code BENSJET on GearBrst for $ 6.99. It works 53h with 1 800mA AAA. Fantastic flashlight.
