I still don’t know when will I get them exactly. But one thing for sure, everything has to wait until the Indonesian custom dept open in 2017 July 3. I got the confirmation via DHL because it’s not following Indonesian long national Eid holiday. Only limited custom dept. people are working on key functions. And I guess the already limited manpower are focusing at some important points. That means, even by July 3, we still need to wait for the custom dept. to follow their working rule. Little bit more waiting but this time it’s certainly very close to the end.

The other good news is the international shipping rule from Indonesia is radically changed (so much better). Those earlier groupbuys we created was to tricked expensive shipping cost from Indonesia to the outside countries (except SE Asian). I checked that now I can ship small package to US and Europe at very low price compared to before.
For example:

- destination country: Netherland (somehow ID - NL was the most expensive)

- weight: 30 gr. (the price break is now per 10 gr up to 3 kg. it was per 250gr up to 1,5kg)

- value: USD 50

  • Estimated delivery time: 8 days (was up to 14 - 22 days)
    Cost: USD 3,5 (was ~ USD 46)

There were two categories for small packet shipments: “document” and “goods”. So no matter how small your packet, it had to use “goods” category which is far more expensive. Document is document, such as papers, letters, certificates, etc…
Now things are different: as long as it’s small enough and legal to fit within standardized dimension, it’s good to go (up to 3kg). Perhaps they got many huge documents shipments slipped by the “document category” rule.
I will check if this is true by monday, the first working day after the holiday. If this is the case then I can do direct shipment and the sale will open as long as I still have the stuff for you guys. No need to trouble Texas_Ace, Djozz, or Chouster. And no more timed group buy.

Those are some really good new Clemence !
Will you handle oreders by your own then ? It would be really time-consuming…

For now yes, I’ll use my spare time for sorting, packing, and shipping. I’ll tell you when I can’t handle things due to my other projects etc… perhaps find a wife to do it. Who knows?

…thus re-defining “mail order bride”!

I await the BLF matchmaking thread with bated breath

Just curious… are there any flashaholicess around? Other than mrs. DNF of course

There’s Toykeeper, but mind she’s a goddess which may complicate marital matters.

It’s nice to know that I’m not the only one

Will there be any 12V 144As in the next batch? I have at least three lights that would benefit from a 12V 144A, as I discovered when I tried to use a 6V 144A in one of them.

If this goes on for much longer I will have spend all my money checking this website for updates.
Just sayin’

haha, I kind of losing the hype, but checking everyday has become a routine for me now :stuck_out_tongue:

Yep.
Checking from France here.

Update 170725: I’m on my way to the airport cargo to get them  . Finally!
I passed the 3 months anger management test. Will post pictures as soon as I get it.

I’ve spent the waiting time creating this: https://www.virence.com/shop . It’s not finished yet but should be enough to make ordering easier than before. Please check it, suggestions are welcome.

Good news, Clemence

the website feels a bit slow, it may be happening only to me though and it looks good and easy to use

I will give 1-2 days for all BLF-ers to get ready. Also need to test the payment-checkout flow first.

I like the website. I assume there will be drop down menus or similar for the different tints within the ranges?

Do I count 10 cases of LEDs?! I’m gonna be broke….

Yes, to make it simple I group each type to warm and cool. Each warm/cool section will have more option depends on types I have in stock. There are 3500 pcs of various LEDs in 10 boxes

Very nice, glad they finally showed up!
