New 4XP Noctigon MCPCB for quad optic

I think that the last Manker are not comparable with the last Astrolux…. (better of course the Manker)

Manker u11 coupon price was $30. Quality host with build-in charger, buck driver, side switch, compact size. Same quality light without manker brand could probably cost much less (utorch?). Make changes to fit quad optics (similar to my quad kit, even less machining in comparing with place for reflector). Optics is not more expensive than reflector. PCB footprint doesnt influence on board self-cost (neverless board is single or quad led). Only thing that can increase price - three extra leds (not big difference between 4xXP-G3 vs 1xXP-L).

Yep
IMHO.
Here the question is not in price. Many were waiting for the same functionality as in the Meteor. And not at all for $ 35. Let it be more expensive. Let it be $50-70. The cost of parts for Indigo is about 15-20 dollars. But not everyone can make a circuit board himself :frowning:

The code for indigo 5.0 is also open. But it’s in assembler

If someone irritates links to a foreign forum, I’m sorry. It’s just a way to show the best that is for today

No one has ever objected to any link to any forum on BLF

I just wanted to say that M43 driver could have full smooth dimming but it’s more technical issue. That’s the first time that I see this graphs, who is the source? I might have missed something because I’ve never used M43 only his free beta version “Indigo” they’re close but not the same regarding to interface and in reality it has completely smooth ramping, as i can see it. So I would prefer not to compare flashlights but more talking about driver features.

Open source? It’s fully open as mentioned above. May be the time for dedicated “Indigo” topic on BLF has come. Spread the light!

This is the key point.

I would pay even more if it worth it. Anyway I can do it by myself, no sense to argue. We are just discussing why we have that we have…

Yes, 2 years we waited Noctigon Meteor M13/M14 and got Noctigon Astrolux. Disappointment.

Disappointment is one thing.
Being rude is another…
Calling the D4 a “piece of shit” even before the first user review will not make Hank modify his product :expressionless:
I wish all the Russian crowd that show itself here to bash a new product was that effective to help BLF in making new products… but it seems easier to bash the Q8 for some people…

If you mean collaboration, as experience shows, it’s more phenomenon than real business. Talking is of little use. But that would be great.

   Emisar I luv youuuuuuuuuu!!!

I think it would be interesting if someone from Russia (or any fonarevka member) would offer to sell those nice drivers here on BLF (and in English language).
Especially in Europe it is hard to find interesting drivers.
KD has a couple, but usually with horrible mode spacing… FT is the same…

It seems almost nobody on BLF interesting in hi efficiency driver , and convinient for daily use UI. DD and wow effect are the main thing here. It is great pity)

Yes… Or swapped to fresh one. 4 fresh cells should be enough for some serious use? But I really doubt someone will use turbo that often. We have middle or lower modes if needed.

I’m definitely interested.
But i get lost on fonarevka because of the language…

It seems Eastern Europe has much more experience and knowledge of electronics.

If you are interested I can try to translate the description of some drivers and send you by PM .

Sure more options would be better although it is a big pain for small seller…
Or Hank could also offer host option so we could build whatever we want

You’re very wrong. See the joy after every post in the GXB20/GXB17 threads.
But there’s a place for FET+1 too. It’s cheap and for many uses - it’s good enough.

Personally I can’t wait for Emisar D4, though I admit I hoped for a 3-channel driver.
And at the same time I’m seeking for the absolutely most efficient driver that I want to have in another light.

I’ve been thinking about it too…

The reality is next. If you wanted to make diy driver, you probably gonna have lots of questions, so that would be rather hard even reading forum through traslator. So I can answer the questions and give a few tips etc. how to assemble some of the fonarevka drivers. For example me and “Serp” know how to calculate Indigo, we’ve passed through this way.

Shipping is not an issue from Ukraine it’s about 23$/1 kg by air to any EU country. Yeah… I wish it would be cheaper but drivers are rather lightweight. As always need people and good contacts to cooperate. Interesting topic, worth to think about that more detail.

Not really, flashlight market and users demands are different. Don’t think that all of fonarevka hates D4, many folks gonna buy it

It is nice to see so many russians (and ukrainions  ) chime in in this thread. I do not understand much of electronics but I like what is going on on Fonarevka, and if the forum was a bit more accessable (the language is a barrier for reading, but certainly for posting there, and perhaps also the culture is different) I’m sure there would be much interest from folks on BLF.

I agree, I am a little interested in trying them as well. I have been trying to get enough info from google translate, but it is not very helpful. I have not even found where to source the boards yet.
