I've seen most of the Night of the Living Dead film series, and they are great zombie flicks! 
Romero will be missed. 
Romero was 77 years old.
He basically invented the zombie movie genre.
His best movie in the series is probably Dawn of the Dead.
The remake is also superb, but he didn't direct that one.
My condolences on your loss.

I watched the making of Night of the Living Dead, and now I’m watching the making of Dawn of the Dead on youtube. I’m really bummed out hearing about George Romero’s untimely death. 77 is not old! BTW, I saw Night of the living dead in a movie theater when it first came out in 1968.
