Yo !

Hi everybody,

I’m from France and i’m a night photographer.
I have a Nitecore SRT7, 2 flashlights from puissanceled.com and a lot of various LED because I’m doing a lot of light painting.
I came here because I want to build a photoprojection tool for still images.

Good afternoon Juls Boo, and welcome to the cuckoo’s nest.

Salut compatriote !

Welcome to BLF! I’m not a photographer, so, uh, what’s a “photoprojection tool”?

It's a pleasure to know you, Juls Boo!

Hi,

If you photograph at night search for high CRI LED lights
Better color rendering will be positive for photographing

The last light I got for a review is really enough to do a massive amount of lumens

The light is a pre production sample, so there might be improvements for the final light

when it is cold it takes about 2 minutes to reach temperature trottle

All pictures with F1/2.8 ISO800 and 0.3s

control shot distance 50m

Klarus XT12GTS modded with HI E4-3C 1800 lumens

Nitecore P12 U3-3D @3A

Astrolus MF-01 low

Astrolus MF-01 high

Astrolus MF-01 Turbo

Astrolus S42 modded to about 18A cold start

control shot

Astrolus MF-01 turbo

Welcome to BLF!
Nice pics Lexel!

Thx you guys.

photoprojection tool is a system where you make the light flux pass through a slide, it illuminates the picture (on the slide) and you can use this like a videoprojector.

I’m looking for a flashlight with a large bezel, I need a thread to fix photographic ring on it, about 58 to 62mm diameter.

The Astrolux MF-01 looks great but don’t have a bezel thread…

I was looking at olight X7 and at acebeam X45 but can’t find the size of thread…

Sorry I’m not fluent in English…

That’s interesting. I didn’t know about those. I hope you find what you’re looking for. I’m not a big light owner, so I can’t help with that. But, there are several guys on here that are and can!

Don’t worry about your English. You seem to be doing well enough.

I know all my photographer step up/down rings have a very fine thread, every flashlight uses thicker ones

But nothing that epoxy glue could not fix, if the thread and the lens covered with tape is lubed,
the epoxy wont stick on the flashlights thread and tape, you basically do your own 3D model of the thread

I know the TRUSTFIRE D014 have the same thread as for photographic lenses.

And I own this flashlight : PiritlightSG-L8, when I unscrew the bezel I can put directly M42 mount lenses.

welcome to BLF!
I don’t own any photo equipment but looking forward to build a light tent/box soon.

Welcome to BLF! Wanting to fit photographic rings on a flashlight is new to me but makes very much sense. Let us know your findings!
