[PART 1] Official BLF GT Group Buy thread. Group buy officially closed! Lights shipping.

Wow, finally beamshots! Apart from the beam, the rest of the flashlight looks very nice too! High quality!

beautiful tint! not far from full scale production then i suppose?

Ok, can you please put me on the backup list ? I have no use for this light at all, but can’t resist.

Yes will update list later

OP updated (including topic title) with

from proto with lots of things to be corrected, on low modes and with XHP35HD instead of HI, but still they are the first wall beamshots

Isn’t that technically a floor beamshot

Mwah. Not sure. It is a French beamshot. People there sometimes put wall-paper on their ceilings :stuck_out_tongue:

French from China??

Might be the floor of Great Wall…

Very strange that LVP kicks in with buck driver, my assume that battery carrier might be a problem…

wow, at this rate the GT will be in our hands ooner than the Q8. Lumintop sure goes fast with this one.

A little birdy told me that protos could be being sent out for inspection soon……

The driver issues turned out to be a simple issue with the wrong firmware version being used, I figured it was something like that. A very easy mistake to make and very simple to fix.

Yes, Lumintop and Neal have been a joy to work with, at this rate it just might beat the Q8.

It will be tripod-mountable i believe? Thought i’d read something like that.

Yup.

Yep tripod hole is there

Cool! Due to the size it’ll be the first crew served flashlight in history; someone to carry the tripod and another to carry the light.

( ex-military will get it, maybe. I apologize for the way my mind works. I still can’t quite get over the massiveness of it.)

For those not wanting to lug a tripod and the light there’s always this idea: http://powerpictures.crystalgraphics.com/photos/view/cg1p77428059c/maxim_s_machine_gun_model_1910_30_on_a_wheeled

You could use one of these

Type, price and quality vary but just search Ebay and you can get one for about us$12 or less.

Cheers David

Beautiful prototype, it seems that this project is going really fast!

Thank you for the update :sunglasses:

I hope The Miller will post some beamshots when it gets dark

Ha I wish I had it
It is in China at Lumintop
And we just received an email from Neal saying:

I think there is a pic in the email but need to open it on the PC to see it, could be a very nice pic!
