Yes, Lumintop and Neal have been a joy to work with, at this rate it just might beat the Q8.
It will be tripod-mountable i believe? Thought i’d read something like that.
Yup.
Yep tripod hole is there
Cool! Due to the size it’ll be the first crew served flashlight in history; someone to carry the tripod and another to carry the light.
( ex-military will get it, maybe. I apologize for the way my mind works. I still can’t quite get over the massiveness of it.)
For those not wanting to lug a tripod and the light there’s always this idea: http://powerpictures.crystalgraphics.com/photos/view/cg1p77428059c/maxim_s_machine_gun_model_1910_30_on_a_wheeled
You could use one of these
Type, price and quality vary but just search Ebay and you can get one for about us$12 or less.
Cheers David
Beautiful prototype, it seems that this project is going really fast!
Thank you for the update :sunglasses:
I hope The Miller will post some beamshots when it gets dark
Ha I wish I had it
It is in China at Lumintop
And we just received an email from Neal saying:
I think there is a pic in the email but need to open it on the PC to see it, could be a very nice pic!
Indeed there are some nice beamshots in the email, very nice indeed. It also has the XHP35 HI LED now as well:
I am getting very excited

Impressive ! Congratulations to Lumintop,Neal and all BLF members for first working prototype !!
I am glad that I have suggested them as a manufacturer for this unique project !!
Impressive! Great job guys!
Holy flashlight!!
Can’t wait to show this thing off at BBQ’s
:sunglasses: Wowzers :+1:
I know it’ll be some time before it gets into our hands. I should start looking for batteries so I’m set on those. Is there a preferred battery people are thinking of using? Should I wait for protos to go out and see what the proto testers think?
Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated.
