Holy flashlight!!

Can’t wait to show this thing off at BBQ’s

:sunglasses: Wowzers :+1:

I know it’ll be some time before it gets into our hands. I should start looking for batteries so I’m set on those. Is there a preferred battery people are thinking of using? Should I wait for protos to go out and see what the proto testers think?

Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated.

Even I’m curious, I think protected batteries are the way to go, right?

I doubt that it’ll draw huge amounts of current from each cell, so I’m fairly certain it won’t need to be anything special in the way of cells. You’ll want them to match of course. If I’m wrong someone please correct me.

You know to stay away from the Chinese cells that claim 15000mAH and sell for $2, right? They’re too good to be true for a reason.

edit: I doubt protected cells would hurt and probably be a very good idea, but do we know if there are length restrictions? I don’t.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if there is a group buy on cells as there is/was for the Q8.

Yeah the led is driven at 2,5A
So I’d say trusty good old Panasonic protected 3400mAh would do just fine.

That reminds me, Need to get cells for that too. :frowning:

Mezmerize :crown:
I’m impressed with the GT progress

Wow, I would not even think we would see a working prototype this summer! It is incredible! And the beamshots look good, this light packs some throw!

All those exciting projects and GB are irresistible!
Please put me down for one.
Thanks. :+1:

…now trying to remember and keep track of all the interest lists i’m in… and how much it will all cost! :person_facepalming:

Now time to see some numbers :smiling_imp:

INCREDIBLE….good job to all involved, cant wait :+1:

Awesome pics! Hope they make sure to give that smooth reflector a freaking good polish, Like the K70 which looks flawless!

yep , would be a shame if they didnt get it darn close to perfect, to maximize the throe

May I ask if anyone can confirm that this GT light require battery total of 8 cell or we can run only 4 cell but will not get the full 100% performance & Runtime.
Thank you.

I read on the front pake that it takes 8x18650s or rather 2x 4x18650s right? that is a tons of capacity for a modestly driven small XHP35? I think i’ll use BLF GT’s massive battery as a battery carrier for my other light

Pffft. You call that a beam shot?

I’ll show you a beam shot.
