SS flat bezel is my idea, I feel that is more inline with modern lights design like X7, TN36 or MM25MB. SS bezel is much more durable and practical at the same time. After all, we are no creating a "tactical" class light here
X7R will be including a distance/ proximity sensor as a safety feature. Will be sick if they are able to incorporate such feature in UT03.

Do we really need 500 users for this?
What about paying 5$ more and lower the number to - letās say 151?
Iām interested. You can add me to the list
I really wanna see this happen honestly. Solid price for a lot of lumens.
it is probably because of the BLF Q8 for most member either this or Q8 well i am simple person i take both
I hope we still get good deal even below 500.
It's manufacturer terms, no much choice for us. This project would get more traction if we could commit at least 350pcs.
In some features concept of this project even more interesting than Q8. Ut03 is smaller, brighter. But large work is needed.
What is known about the driver? Is there some photos?
Let me ask if XHP70.2 is doable.
that would be perfect.
It has that ugly yellow corona, though.
Thatās the prize I am willing to pay for no donut hole and better performance.
What is the idea of the proximity sensor? Is that just a safety feature in case it gets set down while on a high mode? I could honestly do without that myself, but Iāve never seen it before in other lights.
XHP70 has more of the doughnut hole correct? The 70.2 fixes that but it has an inconsistent beam? I donāt actually know what Iām talking about. My only preferences on this thing would be something more neutral white, but Iām interested in the light either way. Still a great deal on a light that puts out around 10k lumens.
Here you can see the donut-hole of my JKK36 with the XHP70
Sure ĀµReview: The LED is on Copper and well centered, the reflector and the glass look very good. overall machining is pretty decent. The light gets warm soon enough I charged some 26F in the light and measured them afterwards - 4.21V since my cells were nearly full (4.15V), I cannot tell you the charging current. The USB-Output: Idle: 5.14V 2.14A - 4.85V 2.44A - 4.62V 2.55A - 4.50V 2.70A - 4.31V I like lights that are a bit thicker and this light is friggin awesome -ā¦
The XHP70.2 fixed that but you get a yellowish corona around the hotspot.
I donāt think that you need a proximity sensor on a 10k Lumens light. You will smell it if after a few secondsā¦

It still has the donut hole. I tried a xhp50.2 in my L6 with SMO reflector and got a noticable donut hole. Iām sure the 70.2 will be the same. Iāll be trying it out soon. Maybe it will be a bit less noticable? You have to find a good compromise between sharp focus (and a donut hole) or a less focused, but nicer looking beam.
Youād getter higher output if the light used a fet driver, but this one doesnāt. Are you planning to swap a fet driver in?
Do you mean better performance as in the higher forward voltage of the 70.2 allows for better efficiency at the same output the xhp70?
I like better runtimes, but itās not high on my priority list when it comes to a light like this.

Is there any proto working ?
I look forward to see it
If itās running into harsh thermal stepdown already without being FET driven then thatās fine by me.
