Review : Jaxman M8 (mini C8 w/ xp-l hi)

Nice review :+1: , I have no problem viewing it either

The M8 is a nice little flashlight I have one with a BLF A6 driver and a de domed XM-L2 nice compact little “thrower”.

Thanks for your great words .

This should be a Mini C8 , from the days jaxman was still called “jax” :student:

Hm… Maybe safari can’t handle loading this many pictures. Works fine on PC though.

Loads no problem with Safari on my Mac

Why on earth would you use a Mac? :stuck_out_tongue:

To be fair I do have PC’s as well. BTW, I hate Safari. I’ve been using Chrome and Firefox on my Macs and PC’s for years.

Well, to be honest I really hate Safari too. I just use it because I haven’t found a browser I like for my iPhone.

Thsnks for the review. This pocket thrower looks very usefull.

Looks like a very useful mini sized C8, and i see some room for 2 extra 7135’s
With a BLF or X6 driver even better though.

Can someone compare it with an S2 to show the beam difference?

Nice review!
M8 has been on my want list… more now.

It will be my pocket rocket for sure !

Installing a fet driver right now

Please report what numbers you get after the FET upgrade!

Sure !

I was thinking modding it with a dedomed xp-g2 for max throw , but the xp-l hi that came with it is pretty good , running at 5.7 amps with a fet driver & VTC5 , and with the nice neutral tint :+1: .

Nice review.
There is nothing wrong with my glass-fiber connection (50MB/50MB).
But it takes about 10 minutes to load the entire OP on my (older) computer. Maybe too much, and too large, pictures. IDK.

Can someone take a picture of this light next to a eagle eye x6. Seems like there about the same.

Will a c8 pocket clip fit? I pocket clip my edc. Would get even more wear and lens scratches in my pocket without one.

Either take a ee x6 or a c8 daily with me. Just change the lens out about once a year as they scratch from keys and such. But don’t scratch as bad as one would think.

Was gonna say, the generic shape and size reminds me of the ’502B.

Ya it does look like a 502. I was just thinking the height width and the reflector size are probably similar to a x6.

Unfortunetly when I was new to all this I ordered 3 502 and a couple cheap zoomies from China and they never showed up. Sent without tracking. Amazon deleted my review. And had my account marked received. Only bad issue I’ve had with amazon. And only thing never to show from China. This was before I knew of blf. $30 lesson learned. Don’t go more then a month without asking questions

Eep! Even with their “a-to-z” guarantee??

I’m all over every single order I make. Got an html page with purchases (amount, balance, date, order number, vendor, items), and is color-coded for not-sent-yet, shipped, and unadorned for received. This way, I can see exactly what’s pending, when it was ordered, even have javascript hooks to take the tracking number and link to usps/ups/track17/whatever. Trust me, ain’t nuttin’ getting by me for over a month!

I did once have an order of ’502s go missing for like 3mos, got refunded by the vendor w/o argument after 1mo (was 2wks past its due-date), and then a coupla months after I forgot about it, it shows up. Malaysia Air, I think. Wrote back, asked if I should return them, and they were really nice about it, told me to keep the package for the inconvenience.

I used to get assloads of things from uxcell, LEDworld, etc., and never had a problem.

Haha, found a well used 502 the other day. Turned it on and went through the modes and it Strobed!… opened it up and wondered how the heck that one escaped mods all these years. Well it immediately got an XM-L2 and a new firmware convoy driver 7135*8. Now it will prolly never get used again.

Nice review on a very neat and well made light. Thanks! Jaxman really does make some nice quality lights.

I plan to mod mine as soon as I’m released, hopefully at the Aug 2 appt. Have parts, sitting on my hands with this crazy collar on!
