DQG Slim 18650

I just got a DQG Tiny 18650. On the label denoting the model, there’s a field for “Slim 18650”. Anyone knowing anything about it?

Probably just bad translation for “tiny”.

It can’t be any ‘slimmer’.

Don’t drop it!

Or run it on turbo too long.

I liked mine but I had 2 out of 2 of them fail. One of them had the switch break off the circuit board, the other just got intermittent then quit.

They do get hot though, on turbo, that could have caused either of my fails.

No, there’s another field for Tiny.
I asked D.Q.G. himself, we’ll see if he answers.

“no bigger protected 18650 cell fits” ?

DQG has Slim AAA. It’s slimmer by just 0.2 mm than the regular one, but it’s longer too because of tail clicky. This gives it a slimmer look.
If we’re guessing, that’s where my bet would go. But maybe we’ll know. Maybe it was an idea that was never commercialized? Maybe this is an upcoming model?

Got a reply from DQG.
This is a not yet ready for production tail clicky.

Wait, what ? They’re still active ?!

You didn’t think Ric was actually making these himself did ya ?

Ric?
I got an e-mail reply from George, who is also a BLF member, but seems inactive here.
Got the address from his website: http://www.duqingang.com/

I’m not THAT innocent…
Yet, I would avoid any commercial relation with such an unstable company.
