I saw that a couple of days ago, while it looks interesting there is no mention of battery type at all. I can’t see either a charging port or a way to get the battery out. Can’t be enough space for an 18650, too much power for something smaller, so must be either multiple smaller batteries or a rechargeable pack?
Don’t see a charging cable in the box either, seems to be a bit of a mystery?
bike lights usually go for brightest and cheapest, meaning cool to very cool…
if that is a go pro mount, it is because bike lights used this o-ring plus half round bracket approach for years
is it just me or does all the zanflare stuff seem too expensive for what it actually is?
there are TONS of decent bike lights for $20 already, on amazon (fast shipping) and with battery packs (which you may have to waterproof yourself by sealing in a plastic bag)
you would use them in the day time as strobe warning lights, that can use up to half the full-power capability of the light, it has no way to request any other power level…
and it can be enough to overheat the light when riding or still, on a sunny day.
it just depends.
but yes it is possible and desirable to use a bike light during the day time.
i do it frequently.
and i have a thorfire 2-led light that does get very hot, it was free [review sample] and i have another light, so i don;t worry too much about it, but also it didn;t cost $75 sans battery, or whatever this is.
zanflare. your light looks ‘pretty’ but, the advertisement appeals to the average consumer, and not to us, in here, who have a more thorough understanding of what makes a good light. I see that no run times have been posted. Is there any particular reason why? Does the light use a case in which we insert our own cells or does is use a pre-built pack? (The second photo, in the horizontal bar, below the first pic on the webpage, shows what looks like a cord, coming from the back of the light.) Does this light have an ‘integrated shelf’?
Your lights in general, seem to be built well so I expect this light to be decent however, that price is a little questionable.
Thanks for your info.
This looks like what began life as the “MTBR Custom Light” built to MTBR forum user’s requested specs. See the original thread here (I believe a similar thread was posted on BLF a long time ago too). In post #566 of that thread we were informed that GearBest dropped our project. This looks to me like they picked up what they had created for us (the body design) and threw something together in order to sell it. Lots of differences between our MTBR requested specs and this light.
1) When are we going to be able to buy this light?
2) Please clarify if I am understanding the UI correctly. The light has 3 modes (1, 2, or 3 emitters operating at the same time) and there is a low, med, and high power setting in each of these modes + a special mode for flash/strobe/SOS, is this correct? Also curious how the buttons are operated to access these modes/power settings.
It’s too expensive.
It needs to include batteries.
Why does an established company need a crowdfunding?
You need a native English speaker, if you are going to try to sell to English speaking countries.
That would be part of being a world class company, trying to sell expensive products.
It’s part of ‘service’.
ALL your language is confusing and awkward.
(Yes, everything I have ever read by you guys.)
