I’m in the market for a soda can sized high lumen light, and was wondering what folks were thinking who might be in the same boat.
I own the dn70 and really enjoy it, so have been leaning that direction.
However, the new light from Acebeam looks enticing at 25k lumens. Maybe too floody, though? The candlepower spec looks amazingly low given the light output.
Of course, there also the forth coming Astrolux MF-01, and also a new offering by Manker, I hear, all over 10k in lumens.
Has anyone else been wrestling with the same comparisons? Any insight you would be willing to share?
Ha, yes, that was my thread as well! Still trying to get more info - it seems like a new light is announced in this category every day. Also, I guess I’m hoping for more firsthand comparison experience, althought that would be hard to come by given the recent nature of some of these lights. Eagerly awaiting the first user report on the X80…
Basically the light scatter a wall of bright fog in front of you, the things at far are too dark in contrast to see clearly. Then you burn your hand, blind yourself, your friend, family and everybody you love.
