I am smiling in anticipation of my proto showing up tomorrow or the next day. It looks great.
Curious what the throw numbers will do at further distance, with a reflector this large it could take some distance for the beam to truly focus / converge.
Do not put too much on my numbers yet. That meter shorts the M3xs as well.
Trees at the end of the lot is 500 ft/150 m away. ISO100, 2s exposure, manual white balance, unedited. Set of so-so cells from my M6, photo does not do it justice:
that’s actually very nice, just the rightsize at such a distance. definitely not going to have to worry about blinding people(not those who shouldn’t be expecting a beam in their face anyway haha) when pointing somewhere further downrange.
hurrah! my spare GA’s are impatiently waiting to unleash their true potential with this monster :smiling_imp: the beamshots i’m going to take when the GT starts rolling off the line….
Looking good ! I mean kinda ridiculous next to M3X UT but smile is on my face.
Now that unknown XHP35 makes 1Mcd, so what can we expect with 3d tint since in TN42 neutral white makes 10% less cd, and in UT02 even more.
Lumintop did a grat job, but we must make sure that highest bin xhp35 will be used in production.
The LUX values were measured at only 10 meters. Wait until somebody measures at a greater distance. Throwers often need a longer range measurement because the beam doesn’t fully collimate until further out. I’m still expecting somebody to measure an actual 1Mcd+ even with the 3D tint emitter, by measuring further away.
