Do you have a picture of the short light being hand-held ? Also, is the short tube going to be available as an accessory?

Could you please add me to the list for one. Thank you.

Thanks DEL for the update. Hopefully I’ll have a stupid grin on my face tonight.

Don’t panic. There’s plenty of time and no one is taking money at this time. Maybe you can get a fellow countryman to walk you through it.

Thank you for the update and pics DEL!

Yes thank you for the pics. Beautiful beam profile

It looks like you’ll need maybe 50m for a good lux measurement!!! LOL :smiling_imp:

That is awsome news about the light DEL!

With the short handle, it really looks similar to the BTU Shocker. Maybe this would be a good light to engrave that hand symbol on…

At the very least, it’s a good light to reach out and touch someone.

Looking good ! I mean kinda ridiculous next to M3X UT but smile is on my face.
Now that unknown XHP35 makes 1Mcd, so what can we expect with 3d tint since in TN42 neutral white makes 10% less cd, and in UT02 even more.
Lumintop did a grat job, but we must make sure that highest bin xhp35 will be used in production.

The LUX values were measured at only 10 meters. Wait until somebody measures at a greater distance. Throwers often need a longer range measurement because the beam doesn’t fully collimate until further out. I’m still expecting somebody to measure an actual 1Mcd+ even with the 3D tint emitter, by measuring further away.

I will be adding my thoughts and pictures to this thread on the GT over the next few days.

Best put me down for one. My dear old 80 year old father wants one.
Please dont tell mum. It may well end in divorce for him. :person_facepalming:

I agree, that picture shows it takes a good long time for the beam to converge. Measurements at 20-30m could very well show higher throw numbers.

Um, what do you guys think, will dedomed XHP35 HD perform better than the stock HI led?

From others testing, yes it generally nets a bit higher throw and lumen numbers at the cost of being very hard to do properly from all accounts. Be prepared to kill a few LED’s while doing it. You will also end up with the classic green tint shift to some degree.

Nice nice (yeah with two prototypes arriving I said it twice  )
Pretty impressive for a first run prototype if you ask me!
What a monster size and nice beam!!!

I am tempted to to that, although the 3D tint is one of my favorites i could live with the tint of the dedomed led. Not keen on the killing few leds tho, these are not 1.5$ xpg’s

Is it that hard to dedome the xhp35? Nitro paint thinner wont help here?

The final LED tint has not be found by lumintop yet, we are asking for 3D but 3A might be available in a higher bin. We will see what they find.

From all accounts I have heard most do not even try to dedome them. I was sent a few of them that had the phosphor pulled off with the dome. Never tried it myself as I hate the tint shift. Plus I could not afford to kill one.

It is not a job for the faint of heart, that is for sure.
